Go to Amazon and search for Seiko automatic, solar or kinetic and see what you find. All around, Seiko gives a lot of and for the buck, as does Citizen.

Seiko SNZG15. Buy it with a nylon strap and swap it out for a leather strap. You'd probably be less than $175 all in and you wouldn't have a cheap quartz watch on your wrist.

I'm a huge chrono fan, but my other hobbies greatly limit my ability to drop thousands on a watch.

I have no real affinity for chronographs generally, but when I'm wearing my Speedy (which is most days) I can usually find an excuse to run the chrono.

Marauder: I was just looking at that watch as well as the smaller 809. I prefer yours due to the military # layout but it looks REALLY big on your wrist. Does it feel that way?

It's really a Heuer that tag is rereleasing. Steve McQueen made it famous in the early 70s.
