Have you seen the two tone black version? I really like it for some reason

Hadn't seen that one! That is a nice alternate look. Though, I'd prefer the non-chrono version if there is one.

A bit more on this one in case any one besides me is interested.

They have an in-house movement inside, 28,800bph, 100m water resistance, only 9mm thick, the bracelet and (also included) strap both feature a tool-less removal system and the bracelet can be resized (links removed) without tools as well, it's really clever and I haven't seen it elsewhere.

I've been planning to make my next purchase a moon watch, but this one is really getting my attention right now.

cool looking, but definitely not the "classic" Cartier look.

That might be the one you buy after you already own the original.

I agree. I would be still wanting the original if i got that one.

New hot one in today. Ball something or other, their names are too long to remember, but im really liking it. Beautifully decorated movement, very well done hidden clasp, and the green and white on of the face and bezel go very well together.

Still think these guys are one of the best deals in the watch market today

If you are who I think you are, I'm still loving the Ball NEDU.

There's a couple of theirs i like. But I appreciate that they still use tritium. It's my favorite lume tech.

This one has a weird complication I've never seen. The seconds counter is the little circle in the left/middle which goes from black to white.

Honestly the Santos made a very strong argument. It's a great looking watch and extremely comfortable. I made the right decision with the 70s, but I would love to have a Santos as well.

Love the vertical brushing on it. This is what I was considering instead of the GO. Unfortunately when I was looking at least, the XL didn't have an option for a steel bracelet. The rubber strap is second but I like both.

Also, it's a big watch. My wrist size is smaller now and I couldn't wear it I don't think. It's much thinner than the 70s and more comfortable, but just a bigger dial.. Probably closer to a circular 45mm. I'd have to go Large or medium now, but not sure the chrono comes in the large model.

Leaving so I stop looking at pictures and stop wanting one again.

When y'all are talking Santos I assume you are referring to Cartier Santos? I looked at those and don't like them EXCEPT for this one. This one is baller.

I will start by saying I know Tag probably isnt "high end" for this thread. my parents got it for me when I graduated A&M.

been a beautiful watch for 10 years.

last saturday I went to put it on(I only wear it if I am going to a decent dinner or something nicer) and it has like condensation looking stuff fogging the glass. Its actually cleared up a little sense then(just took the pic last night) but it still looks awful.

I didnt drop it and I certainly didnt dive too deep.

any idea what happened here? any place I should take it?

thank you

It could be just the humidity. Did you ever have it serviced? The seals fail after a while. You can put it in rice to see if you can pull the moisture out. Or you can take it somewhere and have the seals replaced. Sometimes people don't realize there is maintenance involved in nice watches.

Also, just for reference, salt water is terrible on those seals. That is why I have a specific watch that I wear when I am diving or playing in the ocean. And when you get out of the water from diving, they have a freshwater bath that you put your dive watches, computers, cameras, etc... into so you can wash the salt off. Makes the seals last longer.

I just got my Monaco back from servicing after several hundred dollars and 6 months. Only the second time to be serviced since 2009.

yeah, it's been pretty trouble free.

This was mainly just because I felt like I was pushing my luck and figured it was past time to get it serviced.

I'm curious on this - this is my first summer with dive watches and I do want to take advantage of being able to get in the water with them.

Is your salt water watch your cheapest watch, because you expect the salt to cause damage? Or your highest spec diver? Or just any watch, that you designate to get the freshwater bath.

Can the salt in the water scratch or cause cosmetic damage? Or is it just about wearing out the seals?

Is this freshwater bath something specific or literally just dunking it in some tap water for a bit?

I have a dive watch specifically for diving. It is nice but not a $10k Rolex that costs $500+ to get serviced. But I have done years of scuba diving with it and since I take care of it, I have only had to have it serviced once. I know plenty of people that don't take that care and have had problems. And by care, I just make sure that every time after a dive it gets a freshwater bath and if I am playing in the ocean, it gets a bath at the end of the day. Call me neurotic but it is kinda like getting a car wash after driving on salty roads up north? You can choose to do it and it helps or if you have screw you money then you can do whatever you want. I noticed that if I don't do it, the bezel seizes and won't move until I soak it.

Just some tips from your friendly, neighborhood scuba diver with close to 1000 dives.

I had my Monaco serviced by Tag but it needed some internal work on it. Hal Martins has serviced both my dive watch and my 1926 Omega and I have been very happy with them. Looks totally shady but they are the real deal. I've told this story before, but when I took my Omega in, I walked into what I thought was a brick wall, but no, it was just Jadeveon Clowney buying a watch for his mom.

That makes it reaaaallly hard to say no ha. I got a new CC that was offering something like 2% cash back and 0% for 18 months when I bought my rolex. Id do the same thing again if an AD would ever call me back.
