Fellow Ags, Braindead Brewing in Deep Ellum is opening back up tomorrow for dine in. Like many places, it's been a rough few months, but one of the owners has been like a brother to me since high school, so I'll be there tomorrow. I'll buy you a beer if you come as well, I'll be the dude in the A&M shirt.

In positive news, we are getting a Heim BBQ place in the former Mockingbird Diner location at entrance of Love Field. I hear it's good.
Heim is excellent. Bacon Burnt ends are amazing and the mac and cheese is awesome.
They have a combo sandwich named after a Texas BBQ critic that has almost every meat on it. You can't pick it up but can use it as a mini sampler to decide on future orders.

Not a restaurant (although it had a grill in it), but Telos Fitness is suddenly closing tomorrow. Sent out email tonight to come get your stuff tomorrow if you keep it in a locker. Sounds like a behind payment lease deal and they are being evicted ASAP.

Went to Captain Nemo's yesterday, 1 hour to 90 minute wait for sandwiches during lunch.
The Uygurs - Lucia/Macellaio are closing Macellaio permanently, moving Lucia to its space and opening Lucia to-go from the Salaryman location opened by their former sous chef. Thats probably the best they could hope for, for 2 higher end concepts that were not doing dine-in.
Cane Rosso is taking over the old On Rotation space in Lakewood. They are opening Thunderbird Pies, which is Detroit style pizza, and Cow Tipping Creamery in the space. So pizza, pizza, ice cream all next door to each other
I highly recommend Thunderbird for any of you who haven't tried it yet. We've had it delivered twice, and it's probably our new go-to.

Though not Covid related, losing Frost right next door was a punch to the gut. It started 2020 on a bad note.
