Here in Prosper... storm was over hyped like the coronavirus but I'm thankful. Momma needs sleep tonight after giving birth yesterday afternoon.

High winds, light show, and rain. No hail

....back to our regularly scheduled weather programming...

A house nearby got struck by lightning and caused an attic fire. Too close for comfort.

Another neighbor captured it on their doorbell.

Looking at my pool level this morning we got 2 inches of rain out of that pretty quick storm. Most impressive.

Near the red river, it knocked over a 40 foot tall elm tree that had been there for decades.

At a house in metroplex, it didn't even knock down a branch

Storm lost a lot of power by the time it hit the metroplex

Elm trees are trash. The slightest breeze will take out huge limbs. I hate them with a passion.

Wow. Supposed to die before it hits metroplex my ass. Been getting hammered for 2 hours in Arlington. Last year I only remember hail like once and now we've had 3 in a few weeks.

The wife and I are driving back from Colorado and it's been following us the whole way since just south of Amarillo. Was under it when it first kicked up and got a little bit of pea size hail.

It's been crazy seeing it follow us the whole way and seeing all these storm chasers posted up. We are 60 miles from FW now and it's in the rear view mirror with quite a lightening show.

We've had 3 houses catch fire here in the last several years. About a 1 mile radius. Something isn't right in this area. Never seen so many houses catch fire due to lightning strikes.

Had that happen once coming the same way. Was in a storm for almost an hour because it was going 50mph Amarillo-> Dallas.
