Yep - average 1st 100 degree day is July 1st for DFW. Average last 100 degree day is August 26th.


Next week won't even crack the top 10 for earliest - in 2006 we hit 101 on April 17th

Was thinking the same thing, but then I started to wonder if it was just because I enjoyed way more time outside this year between March & June compared to previous years.

It still pisses me off that, in 2011, we missed the record for consecutive days. Overall it was hotter than 1980 and had more 100 degree days but a brief shower meant we fell just short of the consecutive days record.

I remember that day in Dallas! A brief thunderstorm rolled through at exactly the right time to keep the temps that day under 100, then right back to it for another couple of weeks.

F me where is the rain now.

Had some landscapers install stone boarders around my flower beds in the back yard the last 3 days. When you walk in the grass puffs of dust from sawing the stones fly up around your feet. Dust everywhere.

On day one they fried a GFCI that controls my sprinklers, front landscape/driveway lights, and my garage doors. Not just tripped a breaker or GFCI reset switch - fried. The home is still under warrant and the builder's electric company can't get here until Tuesday.

Hand watering plants and my backyard looks like Tony Montana sneezed.
Take the trash out staff.
