It seems like the more melting of ice the more treefalls and limb breaks this afternoon. Still without power and the sporadic crash sounds are eerie.

Eta: just heard a transformer boom. Worst is over but a long couple of days I fear.

The outage map is ridiculous right now. I'd be there that within a half square mile of my house at least 3 trees have contacted power lines. Thinking you're right about the next couple of days…

No power since 8AM on the east side of Austin.

Think I may head down to see the family in San Antonio in the morning if the power is still out.

We've been out since 4am in 78703.

Probably going to high tail it out of town if we don't get power by lunch.

It's creepy looking out in the neighborhood and seeing darkness everywhere.

Out since around 6am in 78757. We opted to head for my in-laws' place in Wimberley. Power is still on here, but the trees keep cracking. The live oaks out here have really taken a beating.

I just shot you a DM. Your area, Great Hills, Bee Creek, Westlake are some of the worst damage but really the whole area of Austin is in bad shape. Never seen anything this bad & been doing this for over 15 years.

Lying in bed and listening to trees crash in the front yard and neighbor's yard. Going to have some work to do.
Power has been out since 10 am now. Not expecting it back for a while. Hopefully will at least start thawing out enough tomorrow that I can start cleaning up the mess.

We were out almost 2.5 hours on the Westlake Medical grid. The last power outage we had was maybe an hour more than 25 years ago. Houses across the valley went out at 4:00 am and are still out. Saw ground level flashes like white circular lightning in the day time and a series of them about half an hour ago to the East. Would guess those were power related. Wifi out this morning and just after the line of flashes tonight. So many trees lost, much worse than the last time.

Power has been out since 3AM at our house in the westlake highlands. Been listening to the trees crack. Already had to clear the driveway yesterday.

Pics remind me of the DFW New Year's Eve ice storm in '78-79. That one was historically brutal. One reason I'm not a big fan of live oaks. Take care.

You folks without power…it must be dang cold in your house. At least have a fireplace to sleep near?

Our neighborhood in Georgetown looks like we were under an air burst artillery barrage.

We're raining tree limbs in my neighborhood in Brushy Creek also. We've lost quite a bit so far. None of them appear to have compromised the trees completely, but we'll find out this weekend how unbalanced things are.

So many Brushy creek peeps. We need to have a get together once we thaw out

Dammit! Woke up to a fallen branch on my car. Could sworn it was out of the falling path of branches.

It's not huge but another thing on my to do list now.

Ha. My car is a frozen tree falling magnet. This is the third tree in two years. Photo from yesterday, it's much worse today. One medium cedar limb taking out an entire Spanish oak, just to add another ice storm dent to the old beater. Daughter's new car got garage privileges.

Everything is melting and branches are falling like crazy still

I just went to Central Market. Parts of Brentwood look like the aftermath of a tornado. We still don't have power since it went out at 0837 yesterday.

I'm in brushy creek. If anyone needs a place to take a warm shower I'd be happy to assist. Food supply isn't much but we have an HEB 30 seconds away.

Just me and the kids at home today.

I have a buddy on Vallejo who has power. Neighbors reported that we're still out on Alguno. Crazy how hit or miss it can be.
