This thread reminds me of this kid in middle school that irritated the sheist outta me and my friends. We all lived in the same neighborhood and he'd follow us around like a retarded puppy.

We tried so hard to make it clear that we did not want him in our group. Despite throwing rocks, throwing insults, keeping him from certain seats on the bus, and making him some "special" laxative brownies (etc), he'd still come bounding along like a mother farkin' glutton for punishment.

He seemed of normal intelligence at first glance, but I could never figure out why the hell he couldn't get the message and he kept coming back for more.

The definition of defamation is an intentional act of making a false statement to injure a person's reputation or good name. Libel is defamation that is written, so this would fall under that. You can sue a person for it if you can prove it cause you harm (lost business).
