Good work, CSPD. It is equally important now that the "several other subjects" be identified and arrested and charged as accomplices to murder. It definitely took more than one or even a pair of attackers to run down and subdue a Rice athlete plus one to perform their evil deed.

I have no doubt the V-Bar bartenders and bouncers can name probably every participant in the lead up activities inside and outside the bar. Aggressive interrogation methods are called for to identify and purge Northgate (and CS) of individuals of this nature.

The Eagle says that Janson is a Blinn sophomore.

In all fairness, "Ronald A. Johnson" is similar to "Robert A. Smith".

There's a good chance there's two or more living in CS. Therefore good stewardship should be used when trying to identify the accused.

Is the TS guy 23? I just put that info out there - I don't know if they are the same person - there could be two people nemed Ronald A Johnson in town...just FYI

I heard Janson is a bouncer at V-Bar and he was asked to get the guy to leave and when he did the dude got hostile at which point a fight ensued and the ***** decided to stab Janson and his brother.

College Station crime is out of control.

Murder is never acceptable. However, I think to say crime in CS is out of control is stretching it. This is the first murder we have had since 2005 and that year we had 2.

wow, the chron paints a different picture of the story.

It'll be interesting to see which story gets substatiated.

One story talks about a Bailey brother being a bouncer in the wrong place, one talks about the brothers being out of control & assaulting a fourth person, who was then defended (too much I admit) by Johnson.

I just want to remind everyone, that no matter how much your roommate's cousin knows about the situation (as it says in the beginning of every episode of that almighty show 'Cops'), all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

My heart goes out to everyone involved - including Ronald Johnson and his family.

There is so much to this story that we still don't know and I still believe in innocent until proven guilty. When I look at his mug shot I can't help but feel for him. He is far too young to have thrown his entire life away.

I know it's asking a lot to request that people remain tactful and tasteful, but seriously.

Seems some of you need to wait until the whole story comes out before passing judgement.

well the brother "went" here perhaps failed out. But I think it's because it happened on NG and is so close to campus that if affects the community a little different

fly - the investigation is still ongoing so we can't really release anymore info at this time. We send all of our press releases to TexAgs staff also so if I don't post an update - they are very good about doing that for me.
