This is an interesting first Texags post, Zigag09. Please don't characterize my position, as we'll be voting on September 24. I continue to evaluate Flock and my position has not changed at this time.
Thank you kindly.

Bob, I'm really hoping you come out in open opposition and vote no on renewing the contract. Even though I'm sometimes critical on here, I was a big supporter of yours. But, no way am I voting for someone that votes to keep these things around. I know I'm just one vote but I suspect there's a lot of other people that would feel like this would be a large stain on your record.
I would hope Mr. Yancy, whatever his vote is, is a thoughtful and meaningful one.
This page has gone for 13 pages and the most convincing anti-Flock argument I've seen is "if this worked, then why isn't every stolen vehicle immediately located?"
Posting stories of LEOs abusing ALPRs...that's not good, but that's not a reason to yank Flock funding. What, are you going to demand that they defund public schools because you read articles about some teacher having an inappropriate relationship? (Obviously not, but it's the same line of thinking).
Regarding funding for ALPRs, but is it n
ot true that the police o
fficers per capita for College Station is lower than average for a city of this size, and, if so, could that money be better spent on actually hiring more police officers?
