No interview with any board member asking how this happened on their watch as fiduciaries of donated funds, why they are behind by years on their 990 filings (last in 2021) and when was last audit of financials. I'm just saying …..they certainly aren't the first or last local non profit to get fleeced. But there certainly seems to be opportunity for navel gazing…..

I'm pretty sure I haven't racked up $900K in personal expenses. Must be nice lol.

I do pretty good, but, I'm guessing mine and my wife's lifetime isn't there. Maybe if you include all our cars?!?

Most of my money does go to my wife and kids. But I do know I have never owned anything from a luxury brand and never wanted to.

Trust she can read the teleprompter better than Rusty has the last week or so. Or has better editors inputing the text. Reminds me of Ron Burganday every time …..

I wish her good luck. In 10 years AI robots will be "reading" the news. No need for teleprompters.

I've only seen her a couple of times, but I think she's really good. Nice voice, delivery, and easy on the eyes.
Seems very comfortable anchoring.

Edit for spelling

Last I checked his account the top stories were about (yet another) idiot ramming their car into a business or house, and an old-as-dirt man having sex with someone 1/3 his age in a public pool.

It appears the word "massive " is the word of the week for the anchors and reporters. It has been used for the TEFA story, Terafab, Space x earnings and data centers in 2 days. Even without Rusty it was prominent this PM. My favorite was yesterday when "massive " was the TEFA funding. At 1.3% of the state contribution to ISDs. All while 11% of students attend private schools or are homeschooled. Irregardless of your position on TEFA, 1.3% can't be called massive unless you have some kind of comparison issue….

Just Rusty out here, reporting people to the health department for breaking the law.

Because again- KBTX does absolutely no research before posting a story.

Fyi- these stands do not adhere to the state's cottage food laws. One part of the transaction MUST be face to face. Rusty ans KBTX likely are getting the poor girl shut down and possibly fined.

I saw that Rusty won the Austin Oilcan Harry's Broadcaster of the year award. Congrats on that big dog. I would have congratulated him but he blocked me years ago. He can't take criticism very well. If you're going to dance in the political realm in a small city, you better have some thick skin.
I hope I did not offend anybody with this post. If I did, please come see me at my address in my profile so we can talk.

Just for context : Oilcan Harry's is Austin's longest-running LGBTQ+ bar.

I thought the cottage food safety laws changed back in September. I remember there being excitement that cheesecake etc. could now be sold by home bakers as long as they were effectively labeled as home baked and you eat at your own risk. Nothing about having to be face-to-face. People have been selling eggs out of coolers at the end of their driveways.

Quote:

Under Texas law, cottage food operators are exempt from traditional retail food establishment rules and do not require a state license, permit, or routine kitchen inspection. However, producers must complete an accredited basic food handler's training course, package foods safely to prevent contamination, and include specific consumer disclosure labels.

A lot of things DID change in 2025. But that part did not. Homemade Texas (the lobby group that effectively pushed for all versions of the Cottage law we have had in Texas) has had this clarified this. They got their guidance from DSHS. I can provide that info from their website

Egg sales only now fall under cottage food law (and even then only partially)- in the past they fell under a different law that regulated the sale of yard eggs (and the state has always required they be washed and kept refrigerated)
