At least - the cities have quit lying and saying "inside the city limits or the ETJ." That was the 2x a year news up until last year or two - and never true. ETJ has some very specific rules - and extending city criminal statutes beyond its borders isn't one of them.

Small market media is driven by advertising and not investigation reporting. The journalists don't like it but in a small market, they are working their tails off to move up to a larger market. Getting fired in a small market pretty much lands you in insurance sales.

Yep, he's been doing sports for KBTX since I was a kid.

I remember when he replaced Ron Crozier.

Kudos to Max - mentioned new models suggesting the tropical wave may be more west in its turn and development than previously thought. That was a recent change this PM. Not included in current NHC update. Good to see real work going into the weather.

The weekend anchor got arrested the other night for throwing a haymaker and breaking someone's nose in a spat. At least she took it outside and did it face to face. Used to be they would be scolded and sent home. Hope they don't let her go as she is a cheerful sort.

She and her boyfriend started arguing in a restaurant while drinking. They went back to her house and she hit him in the face a dozen times and broke his nose. It's all in the article.

Since arrest records are public, it was going to get out sooner or later. If they hadn't said anything, they would get accused of trying to cover it up. Best to get it out in the open and be done with it.

It's the only way that KBTX can get any talent of that level, so the baggage is worth taking a risk on.

The amount of propaganda they've been putting out lately, much of it from the Texas Tribune (which is nothing but a leftwing propaganda outlet posing as a news outlet) and CNN is staggering, even by the usual KBTX standards.

And as Independence H-D said, they try their best to be CNN on the Brazos.
