Neighbor spoke to the WW GM, so this is all second hand info. When WW implemented Stage II restrictions and allowed watering from 9PM to 6AM (based on address last number), many homeowners watered from 9PM until 6AM. That didn't save any water. They simply don't have capacity to serve their current and expanding customers using this rate of water during a drought. Apparently, WW is having to bring water in from Bryan,to keep pressure in the tower and prevent another boil-water requirement from the state.
Add to that, WW has $47M for infrastructure expansion, but with today's prices, they can't do what needs to be done. Again, this is all 2nd and 3rd hand info. And sounds like we're in for a long term cluster-mess.
I didn't attend the board meeting this week. Maybe others have more specific information.
