I'm in 77802...curious what's going on here. I've seen one large-ish student age party around graduation, but that's about it.

Where and how do you register for that?

As of Monday morning, at least 26 COVID-19 cases in Brazos County were linked to Sanderson Farms and its employees, according to records kept by the Brazos County Health District.
Dr. Seth Sullivan on Monday afternoon during a news briefing estimated between 10 to 15 of the cases were reported in the last week. He also said the company has been cooperative with the Brazos County Health District in tracking and monitoring patients and their contacts.

I may just start buying yardbird from Tyson.
Every major US processor of chicken, beef, and pork have been hit hard by covid, so it doesn't really matter from which company or which meat you purchase. Good news is the virus doesn't transmit through meat or any kind of food that is cooked. Thoroughly wash what you eat as raw food as well.Rapier108 said:Tyson has been hit very hard by the virus.Slocum on a mobile said:

I can't find it right now, but I think I recall an article from a couple of weeks ago which said that there were something like 45 residents and staff members of the Waterford who were positive.Rapier108 said:
62 cases connected to Sanderson Farms, either directly or people who were infected by those who work there. 27 employees have infected at least 35 others, and probably safe to say some others.

I'd say this explains much of the spike last week.
Because its been doom and gloom since day one, and they're not going to change at this point.Quote:
Why then the doom and gloom from Sullivan and other officials? They should instead be making the point that a little outbreak at a facility can turn into a huge one if proper contact-tracing and immediate mitigation steps are not taken.
It should not have taken that long to get everyone tested!jeffk said:

More info here. They had an employee test positive a couple weeks ago and got everyone in the facility tested yesterday and today. Full disclosure: I have a close family member that stays there.
The PDF says 11 so it might be a typo on the BCHD's part.tb9665 said:

Likely the large number is due to a batch of positives in a workplace testing. Just a guess, but makes sense.

Highest single day increase since they've been reporting numbers. I think the previous high was 19.
Context matters but not good nonetheless.
