I had one guy bail on me for tomorrow morning and another still in, so we will see what we get. I have water, and crops nearby, so sometimes mornings are a crap shoot. But evenings around the tank can be very hot with lots of shots the last few hours of the day. I am excited to see the opener brings us this year.

Finally may have an opportunity to really hunt South Texas. Special WW only allowed hunting in the afternoons with 2 mourning dove - white wing are hit and miss season to season, and it's been very bad for the last 10 years or so.

99% sure I'm gonna go try to not get shot in El Campo in the AM and shoot some WW.

1% I get called to show up for jury duty.

This morning was a mess at the courthouse and now I know why.

Took the week off from work. Will be hunting every day this week between Carrizo Springs and Eagle Pass

Out scooting this evening. Seeing some good movement, but damn, it is like an oven out here.

Went out to the field this PM, there were a lot of birds flying. Ellis Co. Good size groups of 3-12 saw a couple hundred birds. Was rather excited, went by the pond and not many birds coming to water at sunset...kinda odd

Looking at Eduardo to the East. Still no rain at 9 but the Wind has picked up some from the North. Probably 10 mph now. Birds still flying. Nice morning.

They did away with special whitening season I'm pretty sure. May want to check your county……don't want you to stop at 2 when you could possibly get a limit

Solo limit in Vancourt this morning. Had to drop the kids off at school today so didn't get started til 9:30 by the time I went back by the house and grabbed gun and shells, was done by 10, should have been done by 9:40 but it took me a box of shells to get my limit, didn't get to practice so I was a little rusty this morning. Lots of birds.

23 this morning between me and a buddy in Atascosa County. They were flying in 1-3 at a time with a lot of down time in between groups.

Slow start this morning, didn't fire a shot till 8:00. Brazos county, by the river. Not much shooting across the river, in Burleson county.
Finally some started moving, wound up with seven total, two hunters. Dog had fun!

Fayette county-slow but still had a blast with dad and brother. We wound up with 15. There were 50-100 on power line over my sunflower field Sunday. Not as many yesterday and today.

Kept my opening day limit out streak going at 4 years in a row now here in Burleson county. Was slow until about 8:45-9:15 and then we had some good groups come through. 13 mourning to 2 white wings.

Dad got 4 but could've easily had a few more if he had been better with his shots, but I think he more enjoys getting outside just and taking in the morning vs getting mad at them like I am.
