I'll be that guy. I don't like hearing other peoples music when I'm outdoors. Usually it's not a huge deal - but it can be really annoying depending on volume, proximity and music choice. Just because some (or even most) people like it - doesn't mean everyone does.

I normally have one ear bud in with maybe a podcast or audible if I'm just doing solo laps.
Thinking of adding a Cardo Packtalk or sena snowtalk this year so that I can talk to my daughter when she's going way faster than me down the hill.

I've had both chips and smith's over the years. My chips are the 1st gen so not all that great but get the job done. Smiths are pretty solid for the money, especially if you have a pro deal with them.

Your problem isn't going to be the local SB, it's going to be that you're on TX Spring break. TX Spring break is the worst hands down bar none for every hill in UT/NM/CO.
By Location the busiest hills will be
UT:
#1 PCCR
#2 DV
Alta/Snowbird are going to be more Advanced. DV/A/SB are ski only too so less traffic without the boarder lice.
NM:
#1 RR/AF
#2 Taos
#3 Ski Apache and then sper small indys like Pajarito.
CO
Avoid anything along the front range like It's the plague then Stemaboat, WP, Vail, BC. Vailis less crowded and bigger so it works better, BC never really gets crazy busy. SB is the worst but it's still 1/2 of Breck/Keystone. Aspen / Snowmass are never a wait but they are also $$$. The best CO hill for no SB crowds are probably Highlands/Snowmass.
You could go to somewhere like Big white but that's a Schlep.

I had never consider one of these, but I'm glad you mentioned it. My daughter has a bad habit of getting ahead or not watching her surroundings. Looks like I have 35% off Cardo through ExpertVoice, but that's still pricey.

Look at Whistler or Tahoe.
Not even, you need Base+ @ $1,269 to get DV.Quote:
I thought about Deer Valley for a moment and then saw Icon excludes them unless you do $1000 pass.
Palisades, Kirkwood, Sugarbowl, Northstar there tooevan_aggie said:ChoppinDs40 said:

I really liked skiing Heavenly, but it seemed jammed packed with CA/NV/TX ppl and also $$$ as well.

Northern NM getting great snow. I'm at 6500' elevation and we currently have 22" in the last day and still snowing into tomorrow. Customers at higher elevations saying much more than that. It's just one storm early, but it has been an enormously long time since NM had such a base so early to start a season. Will go a long way if can get decent regular storms.
