Yes, but you don't ever pizza / wedge when you ski switch.
Rule of thing on switch is you usually look down mountain over the same foot that you naturally spin. That will be your lead foot down (that ski is 6-8 inches further downhill than other ski). You then Want to keep your base low and skis parallel about hip w distance apart w the shins flexed into the front of the boot (up mountain). You turn the same way as normal - distribute weight from inside to outside rotating from hip / knee not shoulders. Going snow plow switch is a really bad habit. Because of body position and Gravity and inertia, Thats a fast way to catch an edge and have your knees rotate inwards while your body goes backwards and over down mountain or Internal rotacin and chin slap where your knee buckles into the hill. Switch snow plow is one of the quickest ways to earn the knee zipper merit badge.
It's easier to Learn switch on skis w rocker and a longer effective edge. It provides more speed but exponentially greater stability because of the lower center of Gravity. It's counter intuitivo. Skiing switch on ski blades is hella hard.
