Ok I understand the layers w stickers… but how'd you do the mesh part? What did you use as a sticker over that when you sprayed the green?

Didn't clear coat because I was afraid it would be to shiny. Duruacoat takes longer to dry Than rattle can.

No clear coat, no primer. The paint job only looks better as it starts to wear.

Drank too much. Was cleaning a few guns and was like "why is my charger black?" Too wet to use foliage, so I decided to try a speckle pattern. This is what I ended up w. May change it, may do another layer of each color. will see what it looks like when it dries.

Sobered up, sanded down a bit, and repainted. This is what I ended up with. Much happier with this.

Did tan as the base instead of green, and striped before I threw the spatter on.

Looks good!

Tandy, can report back that rattlecanning a stainless barrel does not hold up nearly as well as it does on other surfaces.

Easy enough to fix, but…

Adjustable gas block, so I'm putting a hex key close to the barrel and occasionally making contact.

Not an issue when its a couple layers of paint on a wear area but when its stainless underneath and the rest of the gun is rattlecanned it sticks out

Any of yall recommend a good YouTube video for this? I think I'm definitely doing a gold, silver and metallic red race gun…

Maybe a metallic maroon and silver of if I can find the right color.
