Starting this series tonight.

I caught up last night. My takeaway was I thought the OB wrote the score for that episode. Opened this thread and was not disappoint! Keep the Wolves Away was a good call for that scene.

I'm really enjoying this show so far. Texas music was a pleasant surprise! I'm sad that Uncle Lucius split up earlier this year. They had a great thing going.

I watched last week"s episode last night. I still really like the show but the amount of killing portrayed seems kinda unnecessary. I really didn't get why the killed the hand at the state line. They made some remark about him knowing a lot about the ranch, but cmon, they are running a cattle operation, not an organized crime ring.

It's like they're trying too hard to be sopranos for country folks. I think the show would be just as compelling without all the killing, and maybe a little more believable.

But I still enjoy the tits. Thought we were gonna get the Indian girls during the shower scene, but nope.

I agree, but its just entertainment.
The brother on the reservation (Kayce?) cant seem to go about his normal routine without killing people.
Wind River (by the same director) was kind of the same way. I found it kind of unlikely that oil field workers in the middle of nowhere would be armed with full auto weapons and all be willing to murder an entire group of police, but it made for a really cool ending

The reason they killed him was he knew too much about recent events and wouldn't hesitate to use said info against the ranch and the family.

Reminds me of a western Godfather. Kasey will be Michael Corleon and take over the Business.

I'd like to see someone make a show about George Parr the "Duke of Duval" there might not be a lot of killings but there'd sure be a lot of dead people voting.

The new cowboy they're going to get from the prison is going to be Ryan Bingham...

This show is entertaining to say the least. I know it's bs and fluff, but it's fun, the people are easy to root for / against, and Montana is a great backdrop.

1.) Ursus....what's the protocol on facing down a grizzly? I thought you were supposed to make yourself look "big" to mountain lions and maybe black bears.....and get into the fetal position with a griz?
2.). Wife and I commented that Kayse didn't kill anyone last week, so the guy was lucky to get away this week!!!

Let them know you are, but nonthreating. If you do get not, they have changed the recommended position. Now it is recommended to lay on your stomach with your fingers interlocked behind your neck. Idea being that in the fetal position you effectively turn into a soccer ball. On your stomach, as you get flipped over you can you the momentum to roll back over.

Spoiler alert....
1. I actually think the Daughter is the Dads favorite living child because she is the most cut throat. The dead son was probably the favorite as he was the most cowboy.
2. The mom died in a riding accident that revolved around the daughter not being good at riding a horse. Mom blamed daughter for accident with dieing last words. Daughter has never forgiven herself and therefore drinks and screws as she pleases.

Its MUCH better to go back and watch from the beginning because the cast is so freaking great at playing their roles.
