I can't even get to a page to login or not- can't get the main page to load.

Googled "New Mexico Draw Reaults" that won't load.

"buy a license online" won't load...

Every other website I try will load.

I finally got in. Took a while to navigate my way to the online draw results page, several pages wouldn't load. Direct link wouldn't load. But finally got it AAANNNNDDDDD.....

Unsuccessful- ha ha! Pretty much what I expected. My Dad & I hit on our first try last year, so didn't expect to get it again this year.

Happy birthday to me, I drew a bull Elk tag for NM in unit 6C. I had three picks 6A,6B and 6C and hit Oct 6-10. Was my first year to put in, so beginners luck I guess. Now to break out the smoke pole and hit the hiking trails to get in shape. I have no idea if there are any elk in 6C, but we saw a ton in 6B in February. Even if we don't score, the adventure will be worth it. All advice accepted.

Anyone pulling antelope tags for Wyoming? Deadline is in about 6 weeks. I am trying for the areas immediately southwest or northeast of Laramie. I'll probably get a mulie preference point while I am at it.

Yeah 6B was the grail for me but I hope some of those range over into C. It's a huge unit and I am just beginning to research it. May be elk, may not be any, but will be an adventure either way.

I know a guy who killed in a really nice 6x6 6C a couple years ago. Definitely elk in there. I'll see if he wants to divulge anything (he may not, he's pretty private). From what he and I have talked about, I'll just say this- elk are elk, and elk live in 6C.

Lol. Yah. I don't plan on driving to Montana 3 times like Wyoming. 2 weeks of archery or bust is the plan but that tag is good through all of rifle season, so I better shoot something in the first 2 weeks.

Question from a newb archer...are y'all using a standard 5 pin site for those 100+ yard shots or an adjustable?

I've been shooting everyday and I'm new to the sport but I can't imagine shooting that far. Might as well donate $12 to the arrow gods.

shaynew1 stuck that caribou at 111 yds and only missed the 12 ring (and getting entered to win that truck) by about 3 inches. Impressive shooting.

Sitka course was pretty fun. Lots of tough shots between trees and whatnot. The Prime course pics above look like it was pretty awesome too.

You just wing one and hope to get lucky at that distance. I would have brought a lighter arrow had I been payin enough attention to the website to notice the truck contest.


While I'm thinking about it I just checked the Liberty Hill schedule and looks like the next one is 5/20. I think ageng is in that area and maybe can tell us if its worth the drive.

I use a standard 5 pin site 30-70. So I am just hoping on the 100+ shots, but I hit 2 out of 3.

Some guy from a local archery club hit the 12 ring 3 times. Talking to the coordinators they were expecting 20 to 50 total people in the drawing at the end of the tour.

Draw question. Colorado. If I draw a muzzleloader deer tag, can I legally hunt that tag with a bow?

I've heard this concept spoken before but someone mentioned it to me recently and it stirred my interest.

I believe the answer is yes. You can archery hunt any season. You can hunt muzzleloader during rifle. Someone might be by shortly to correct me though.

According to the chart in the CO handbook- you CANNOT use a bow of any kind on a ML tag. Given that the seasons overlap, I believe that you can only use the method of take that you are tagged for. You need to make sure and follow the different orange requirements for each tag as well.

You can use a bow or ML on a rifle tag.
