22's in 25:12 this am.

No incline, and no weights (didn't bring my 20#ers on vacation... ha ha), and LOTS of oxygen. Boerne TX is not quite as high as Pagosa Springs CO. This all helped the time, I'm sure. Still couldn't break sub-25. It wasn't that hot this am, but I still sweat 10x more than normal.

Now to go soak for a bit and see if so can get the jello-legs to solidify somewhat before my family reunion this afternoon...

Alright...here's some long overdue pics of scouting trips. I got to go scout 2 weekends and then go fishing/camping/partying another. So after 3 weekends playing in the mountains the fiance said "no more elking till after the wedding". Thankfully, I was able to negotiate a date that will never interfere with any hunting seasons so after this year i'm in the clear. I'm not quite as dumb as I look.

Scouting Trip #1. Went for Alpine muleys and elk. Hiked something like 27 miles in like 42hrs (left truck at 815pm and set up camp at 1:30am on Friday). Found one group of bucks, saw some elk dots, hammered some cutty's at undisclosed back country lake.

Scouting Trip #2. Put up 10 game cameras. Stupidly hiked to a location I'd never pack an elk out of to put camera up. Looked primo on a map and it was in person. It'll be fall back plan. Found great elk sign where I had hoped to. Have to wait until season to check cameras but have several good "spots within the spot" for good basecamp hunting. As much as I love the backpack style, I hope to have mapped out some good spots to take my dad muzzy hunting next year and still kill an elk this fall. I'll get my backpack style hunts at some point this season.

Cutty's. Caught double this at least but decided to keep these for dinner. The other two guys were low on food so built a fire (day before the ban was activated) and did a hot rock. My phone deleted the cool cooking pic.

Good start and congratulations. But if children are in your future, conception date will need to become a primary concern.

Back when I was living in a little mountain town the long cold winter nights got the best of me. I got a beautiful healthy baby girl, but not only did she instigate the move back to Texas, she was born on November 12th. I'm primarily a Kansas bowhunter. November 12th! I think my uncle has arrowed a P&Y buck during every one of my daughter's birthday parties just to continue to pile it on.

This! Buddy of mine is having a kid October 20ish. You know what falls during that time?! Chasing mule deer in Colorado! He's f'ed for the next 18 years!

Counting down the days here. Leave September 14 to try to stick a bull. Then head back in October to chase muleys with a rifle.

Beer! My buddies dog hank carried his own food and a six pack for us. Good dog.

For whoever asked, yes that's CO. Pics are a combo of units 14, 15, and 16.

Good advice to consider on kids. Hopefully that's a little ways off, but gotta keep that in mind!

Had some issues with defective parts on my CBE TL3 3 pin slider at first and their customer service stinks. But man, it's dialed in now and I've been slinging blades at 70 yards with great results.

I am too and I don't know why. Ben falling down the rabbit hole of single bevel (left v right bevel) broadheads and left v right wing fletching And the natural rotation of arrows out of my bow. Mine go left(counterclockwise). At any rate, I ordered some Strickland helix 2 blade single bevel (left bevel) heads. Hope they get here soon.
