Update: Emailed customer service and they verified my order is shipping this week.

NO. Crappy lid, will eventually split (especially filled with foam). The collapsible handle will eventually rust and freeze up. These coolers are great for a shrimp livewell and transporting fillets on Southwest Airlines from Venice.

Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow... I'll update as soon as I have hands on.

My maroon 20 still says "Unfullfilled".

Looks just like the version developed/sold at HEB

They told me today they are waiting on a shipment "any day now". Need my 75 maroon soon!

Pressure valve. With a tight seal and temperature change a vacuum can develop and you cannot open the lid.

Only thing I don't like about these. It's just as easy to open the drain plug on the rare occasion the vacuum is too tight to overcome. Oh well, mine ships next week. Can't wait to see it in person

Got my maroon 45 in today. All in all pretty good. I like the drain plug and latches more on my Yeti but all in all pretty pleased for the price. Hopefully the latches will get easier once they get used more but they aren't rounded all the way around like Yeti's.

Does anyone know how long the maroon cooler will keep ice vs. a white cooler or tan cooler (everything else being the same... size, brand, location, etc.)? I'm assuming a maroon cooler won't keep ice as long, but am curious how much the color influences the actual length of time it will keep ice. Can someone do a test!?!?!

I don't have an answer to your question, but I can tell you that I did a lot of heat studies on different color paints on a very sensitive mechanical structure. Our product was almost always white, but this customer required tan and green. In direct sunlight the darker colors had approximately 30-50 degrees Fahrenheit higher surface temperatures on an aluminum structure.

So basically, yes the color is going to make a big difference on the exterior temperature of your cooler. How that translates to ice life all depends on how much of that heat is transferred through the insulation.

They have some nylon strap handles and ones that are molded into the plastic. I'll take some pictures when I get home.
