Pretty similar, but I would say that the Kuer is more feature rich, while the RTIC is more of just a Yeti clone. Hard to compare a 20 qt and a 75 qt though. I honestly haven't used the Kuer yet, I bought it mainly for hunting and fishing trips.

Thanks that definitely helps. Based on looking at them, is it the vacuum seal release that's the biggest difference? I'm very interested in the maroon but think the sun would make it a lot hotter than tan. I'm looking at the 45 size since it would mainly be used for tailgating.

The ~5 degF surface temperature of the maroon vs tan cooler isn't going to impact the internal temp during a tailgate. Keeping meat fresh on the side of a mountain or on the deck of a boat for multiple days.... maybe?

Eight years ago an engineer in Corpus doing a project on hard hat colors and heat exhaustion set out multiple colored hard hats white through black with thermal couples inside them in the sun all day. If I remember correctly it was around a 14 degree delta from white to black.

Whether it affects the inside temperature or not I wouldn't want to sit on or pick up a maroon cooler that's been sitting in the sun on a 100 degree day.

Ordered two maroon ones, with all the bells and whistles. A 45 for my truck and a 75 for the lake and ranger trips. They said April 2016 shipping.

Yes I did. It arrived on 1/27. I've used it several times. Build quality seems good. I can only remember one time that is pulled a vacuum and I had to release it with the button. Not convinced it seals as well as I'd hoped.

I understand they are backordered, but dang at least respond to an inquiry. Plus their website currently lists all coolers as Sold Out. Hopefully they are still in business.

I paid for the 75 quart maroon cooler with the tethered drain plug on March 11. No word on when it will ship other than "April". My receipt from Paypal says I have 180 days to open a dispute, so, I guess I will give them until August.

I ordered one in December with a February ship date. It shipped on the 26th of February... They like to cut it close. But it was worth the wait.

That stinks. I had to contact customer service 3 times and always got a prompt response.

I've tried to contact them several times over the past couple of weeks, with no response. Finally got a response last night that they are expecting a shipment at their warehouse today, and will be shipping immediately. We shall see.

I purchased a Maroon 75 on February 20th and it still hasn't shipped. I suspect there is a long list of folks waiting for one to ship. I put in a few support tickets because it was supposed to ship early March, then late March, then early April. I'm not one to jump on filing a credit card claim, but this is getting ridiculous. I still want the cooler as it was a birthday present. Maybe it will come in before the next birthday rolls around!

Just got shipping notice for my 75 qt maroon. This is my second one. First one ordered 1/30 and arrived 3/2. I ordered this second one on 3/2 and it should arrive this week (shipped in April as original promised).
