Interesting..... Legend Coolers



Not only are the coolers the exact same design but they are also based out of North Houston just like Kuer coolers was. These seem to also be running about $50-75 more than what they were charging for Kuer coolers.

I'm thrilled with my Maroon 75 and I'm also thrilled I got it before they went out of business. Sucks that they apparently didn't make it but not surprising.

Also interesting.... I just received a screen shot from someone who was looking into being ProStaff for Legend coolers. The guy had all the same information about the Legend coolers as the Kuer coolers. He got very upset when the guy asked him if they were the same as Kuer and if he or anyone there at Legend had owned Kuer. The question was quickly redirected and never answered.

It also says they have 7 Maroon ones in stock? How many people on here are waiting for coolers to be delivered by Kuer?

Yeah I found that earlier too. What are the odds though that two people in the same area of Houston are buying the same product and selling them as their own brand. One brand appears to have started up around the same time the other was dying off.

I don't know the whole thing is weird.

New ownership after the first "company" was going to s*** probably. My cousin has a couple of the kuer and they are solid coolers.

Just placed an order for a Maroon 75. I've been more than happy with the Kuer.....hope this one works out as well

So does anyone actually know if they are in or out of business? I've had an order in since March and was going to contact the CC company and try to get a chargeback.

I will admit that I have no clue on importing a cargo box full of anything.

Could we do a group buy from a place like alibaba and save a ton of money and have a pretty solid cooler?

Again, I have no idea of shipping time, hassle, or cost, but I would guess that someone on here does.

I'm in for two on the group buy.

I got a call today from one of the owners of Legend thanking me for my order and letting me know it was ready to ship. Turns out that we will both be in Port O'Connor tomorrow so my cooler is going to be hand delivered and ready for the water on Saturday!

I had concerns when I placed the order last night due to some of the Kuer issues on recent posts so I brought that up and we got into a long discussion about Kuer and Legend and I want to help clear up the confusion.

Kuer and Legend do not have anything to do with each other. The timing of the launch of Legend and the folding of Kuer is purely coincidence as well as the close proximity of the business addresses. In the case of Legend, it is an unfortunate coincidence as they have been getting calls related to Kuer Outdoors.

Legend is the Official distributor for the manufacturer of the cooler (Ningbo Kuer Plastic) although they chose to market the coolers under a different name. Because they want to build a positive reputation, they are willing to try and work with those who bought a cooler from Kuer Outdoors to service any warranty issues that may come up.

Finally, he wanted me to pass the word along to anyone who bought and paid for a cooler from Kuer Outdoors to contact him directly. They have no way to verify who did not receive a cooler so he is working strictly on the honor system and hoping that as Aggies we will not try to take advantage of the situation. Joe is a military Veteran and the company employs Veterans as well. Everything I took away from the conversation leads me to believe that Legend will be a quality company and I wish them well.

Sooo, does this mean that Kuer Outdoors is 100% done?

My husband ordered a 75 quart cooler in maroon and got it personally delivered the next day because his office is not far from them (guess the owner prefered to save on shipping, as the shipping is free to the customers). It is exactly like the maroon 75 quart Kuer pictured earlier in this thread. It also came with the divider/cutting board, basket and removable cup holder. The owner was very nice and responded to our questions through their Facebook page the same afternoon. Considering all the extras that get included, this was a great buy.

BTW, don't know what all is going on with Kuer, but I saw that they got sued by Yeti. Guess Yeti is going after all the clones.

CW, yes, the 75 qt maroon ones are very nice. I guess I was lucky enough to snag one of the last Kuer ones, because a day or so after I bought one all coolers were marked sold out on their website.

I own a Grizzly 20, Yeti 45, RTIC 65, and a Kuer 75. I have a cooler problem...

But besides that I like the Grizzly the best followed by the Kuer. Each has its own niche.

He's got an A&M decal for it on order.

Hmm makes you wonder how long Legend coolers is going to last before the same thing happens then.

Just an FYI bump but the Kuer / Legend coolers are badass. Glad I was able to snag a maroon Kuer at the price point offered before they went under.
