Allen- you're right. The first pic does look much smaller. The pictures were taken out off a video camera (720x480) from about 450 yards away thru a pair of binoculars and then blow up.
I just did my own point by point guestimation, using the absolute highest numbers possible (in my opinion) and came up with 167. So in my very inexperienced opinion, I think 167 is the absolute max, with 155-160 being more realistic (up from my original guess of 150-155).
Bluebill, why would video thru binocs distort the deer to look bigger? It's no different than zooming in on the camera. Everything still stays in proportion.

that's funny, my teeth r very dirty bluebill. Aw, that buck will be 180 in this year if the drought didn't hurt him to much. He will get shot if he is seem, so we will know by dec.
It doesn't count if you shoot him this year and he scores above 170. He should grow bigger this year than last. The only way you can win this colt is go back in time and stab him with your magnetic pole. I don't think RB's is big enough judging by the picture, but once again it may be larger than first appears.
you must be blind if you thnk that's a cull, come on 110, blind! blind! speaking of hands you must be giving yourself too many hand jobs get a girlfriend
It has been MLD & Archery season since the end of September and now it is general season. Why is this deer not dead & winning the Los Bragodores contest?

I started laughing my ass off when I saw this at the top again. You can read this thread and know exactly who you want to listen to when asking questions about deer hunting. One of the greatest threads of all time!
