I had just finished 2 full playthroughs of Elden Ring, back to back, then beat the DLC. After that... I wanted more Elden Ring, so I installed the Randomizer mod to make it interesting and new.
I then started thinking about Tears of the Kingdom, because I got through about 50% last year before dropping it and playing something else. It never hooked me the way Breath of the Wild did, but others seem to love it, so I decided I would give it another chance. I've gotten about 20% of the way through this second attempt, and i'm not really feeling that strong urge to play it every night. We'll see if I continue on.
This weekend, I started thinking about Baldur's Gate 3, and just like TotK, it was one I ended up putting down last year, but so many absolutely love the game. Decided to give it another attempt and put about 9 hours into it this weekend. It's still just "meh", for me. I absolutely think the game screws with the rolls because enemies seemingly always hit me in every fight and I can never hit them. I remember this pissing me off the last time I played, and it's happening again. My character seems so ****ty because I NEVER can hit the enemies. Whether my chance is 55% or 85%, I seem to miss at least 50% of the time. This game gives me PTSD of the beginning of Morrowind... but it doesn't stop. "miss, miss, miss, miss, hit for 4 damage..."
Last week, I also started playing Core Keeper, based on some things I saw about it. It's been fun getting started and allows me to watch a show or podcast while playing. These types of games are usually fun for me for about 12-15 hrs of gameplay before I move on to something else.
Anyways... those are the 4 games I've booted up and played in the last 2 weeks.
