I was having a hell of a time with Malenia, so I respec'd to a dex/arc build and ran rivers of blood. That absolutely destroyed her. Beat her on my second attempt after the respec.
Ordina, Liturgical Town was the least fun part of the entire game. Just felt like it was bull**** simply for bull****s sake.Cromagnum said:
The whole consecrated snow area and related areas it leads to are pretty brutal. Yikes.
if you take a look at the walkthrough, it's actually pretty simple to get through it.nomad2007 said:Ordina, Liturgical Town was the least fun part of the entire game. Just felt like it was bull**** simply for bull****s sake.Cromagnum said:

yeah I guess that's pretty BS but at least you know where they are when they pop.chase128 said:
I wasn't a huge fan of putting invisible enemies there, who can only be revealed by a special torch. If you didn't get that torch, have fun with those assassins

I'm almost finished with the game with a pure mage build. Super powerful but sometimes feels a little cheesy.
Would like to start a new game that is completely opposite of a pure mage. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking something like getting up close and personal, maybe giant swords, or anything really that doesn't cast spells. Maybe a fast melee samurai type or one with heavy armor. Some buff spells ok I guess but definitely want to focus on melee.
Any ideas?
Either pay super close attention, read every single item description, and take lots of notes, orrrrrrrrr let someone on youtube do the work and explain itflintdragon said:
beat the final boss last night. What a great game. I have no idea how anyone keeps track of the story though! Glad to have online resources to help with that.
Still felt a bit of a cheese with my mage. It was a hard battle until I just nuked it with meteorite of astel. Main problem while playing this character is getting the timing of dodges/evasions down well. One reason I'm looking forward to at least play some more with a melee build.
I think if the story was more linear, some of it would make more sense. With it being completely open world, pieces come from all over the place. I'm imagining a giant white board with pieces of story all over the place and a thousand arrows pointing every which way....bluefire579 said:

I was starting to think just starting NG+ but respeccing. Not sure pros/cons of it though.zip04 said:
Finally completed the game today. This was by far my favorite game of all time. A lot of fun. Now I don't know if I want to start a NG+ or do a run through with a new character.
Pros: Don't have to spend time reaching the level you were, probably already have items you can use for your new spec, if you have multiple larval tears you can respec again if it doesn't work out, not starting out from nothingflintdragon said:I was starting to think just starting NG+ but respeccing. Is this game better than Breath of the Wild?
After beating Elden Ring and having beaten Breath of the Wild 3 times, I still rank Breath of the Wild, higher. But I consider Breath of the Wild to be the greatest game ever made.exp said:
