Completely agree! I'm usually on voice chat but it doesn't matter if you are in or not. I changed my name on Origin to Vade281 to match my PSN and xbox names if anyone wanted to party up.tamusc said:
Seriously though, I did get my first two wins. In one, did nothing but scout and cover our flank while one of my squad mates obliterated everyone before I could even move back to where contact was. The other squad mate just drew enemy fire, lol. Two of us had double digit damage numbers and no kills.
I somehow carried the squad in the second win as Wraith.
Both wins were with randos, but they were all on voice chat. It's amazing how far you can get with a little coordination and being methodical in movements.
Help me out, because my people use parties constantly: Do you just join the game together, and then you can chat? Can you chat with your friends between games and such? If so, this sounds better than what I've been doing, which is inviting people to our chat party manually. Either way, I agree with you, because I've been doing just that in order to be able to communicate with randoms - which I haven't done in any other game in quite some time.jr15aggie said:
This game has seen the revival of voice chat with randoms. Probably the most I've seen since the Halo 2 days before the 360 came out with party chat. If I'm ever in a 2 person party we are typically using the in game chat system so our random can chat or at least hear us.
It's been really fun and I've been expanding my friends list.

If we ever lose our 3rd we'll typically just kill the party chat. In game chat works just like a party chat before during after a match as long as you are in the same game party. Only time you'll lose voice comms with your friend is during the somewhat frequent lobby glitches.
I have a question for you... You mentioned inviting randoms to your party. How do you do that? I've tried looking under the friends list "recent players" section but it seems like those gamertags take around 10 min to populate. If I want to party up with a random I just played with I can never find them and a can't remember their exact gamertag name to manually search. Annoying.

It can be good for getting away for sure, but it's also great for flanking when your teams is about to throw down with another. Somebody online said the cloak lasts for about 6 seconds... that's a long time. If you drop the Ult behind cover (where they can't see that you used it and won't be looking for the cloak shimmer) there is no way they will see you until you shoot them in the side of the face.
I've gotten at least 2 wins this way... random goes off on his own, dies, leaves. There are scenarios where it's almost easier with just two people. It's definitely easier to coordinate a very specific strategy when you are about to engage another team.Bryan98 said:
