Not too surprising, but Kyler Murray getting cut

Kenneth Walker III to the Chiefs. I thnk he's their first legit running back since they had Christian Okoye and Barry Word.

Kyler stopped running (or stopped running effectively)

and that sunk him in the real world and fantasy

defenses solved his game

By jumping and raising their hands on the line of scrimmage.

Yes, I was making a sarcastic statement.

perhaps hard to believe...

Kyler only (started and) won 38 games for the Cardinals in 7 seasons

the pre-draft concerns were legit

but looking back at the 2019 draft...it was a bad year to be searching for QB:

Kyler, Daniel Jones, Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock, Will Grier -- the first 5 QB's selected...ouch

really bad year to take QB

I've got 3 openings (TWSS) in a dynasty league on Sleeper that a bunch of old Ags and friends are playing in if anyone is interested in getting board for 2026.

Minimum buy in will be $50 the first year - 10 teams - and this is the first year, so it's a full-on draft followed by an annual 3-round rookie draft for every year. We might raise the pot in years to come based on public consensus.

We are all in our 50s except for one guy, who is the son of another owner. Hopefully no nepotism. Give me a DM or a good email address to reach you if you want to take a slot.

my best championship team I listed in the other thread

the key there was drafting the right WR's in the late 3rd / early 4th round cluster of WR's

it was the Evans, McConkey, JSN, Harrison, McLaurin, Higgins group

I took JSN...and he turned out to be the right choice

Always pick Seahawks! They are the best

How high is Kenneth Walker on draft boards now?

I did my first post-Free Agency best ball draft on DraftKings last night and Walker went at 1.12, the RB6. Cook was the RB5 and Achane was the RB7.

Wow that's wild…I have too many keeper options this next year. I can keep 2.

Walker for a 4th
Pickens or Rashee Rice for a 6th
Loveland for a 10th
Caleb Williams for a 12th
Pittman Jr for a 14th

That was going to be my guess. Probably a 1/2 turn guy.

At this point, I would lean towards keeping Walker and Loveland.

Would be worth keeping tabs on Pickens and Rice before making a final decision. Pickens may sit out training camp if he has to play under the franchise tag, which may hurt his in season production (see McLaurin last year with the Commanders). And Rice has potential off-field legal issues that could lead to missed games this season.

If neither of them have issues going into the season, it could be a close decision between one of them and Walker. I think you definitely have to keep Loveland for a 12th given the nature of the TE position and his potential for a breakout season.

In my main league, a ten-man .5 PPR league, I finished 5-9 and ninth in the regular season...first time missing the playoffs in close to ten years. I was third in total points scored, first for a large portion of the season, but had the most points against me by a wide margin. Such a frustrating season.

I had the first overall pick and took Ja'Marr and stacked him with Burrow. I also had Xavier Worthy for the first few weeks who got knocked out by friendly fire from Travis Kelce (after rostering Rashee Rice who was taken out by friendly fire the year before), and traded for Omarion Hampton the week before his big injury.

I made a couple early season trades and my roster looked like this:

QB: Herbert
RB: De'Von Achane
RB: Breece Hall
WR: Ja'Marr Chase
WR: Ladd McConkey
TE: Trey McBride
WR: DeVonta Smith
WR: Zay Flowers

Bench/IR: Omarion Hampton, Joe Burrow, Rhamondre, Luther Burden, a few other bums.

The NFL draft was going to inform me on what to do with my potential keepers but the one scenario which would remain confusing was if Pickens wasn't traded and the Chiefs didn't invest significant draft capital in a WR. That happened. I think I have to keep Rashee Rice for a 6th. The question now becomes is George Pickens for a 5th a better keeper than Loveland for a 10th?

This is a 2RB, 2WR, 2 Flex 0.5 PPR league

Pickens has an early third round ADP currently, Loveland going early fourth. Based purely on value vs ADP that would suggest Loveland, but I'd have a hard time letting Pickens go.

Yeah I feel the same way. Pickens and Rice would both cost me a 6th but obviously since I can't take both in the 6th one would have to slide up to the 5th. For tight end it would appear that Pitts or Laporta have better value in the 7th and 8th if I was the keep both Rice and Pickens. Also, in that scenario I could go RB heavy the first 3 rounds.

I think I would go Pickens and Loveland, honestly.

Loveland is the best value of the bunch and is super enticing after his finish to last season and the exit of DJ Moore.

Pickens and Rice is a tough call, but the Cowboys are going to have a more explosive offense than the Chiefs, they will probably have to throw more often, and even though the Chiefs are saying that Mahomes will be good to go week one...he tore his ACL and MCL on December 14 of last year. Starting week one would put him on the earlier side of the return timeline for an injury like that. He will have to knock off some rust if he is good to go for the start of the season...if he isn't, you get Justin Fields throwing the ball to Rice (running around) for a few weeks and that likely won't be very fun.

Rashee Rice showing some great elusiveness and open-field moves.

I still can't decide on my two keepers. This is what I see are my two options:

Option 1:

Keep Pickens for a 6th
Keep Loveland for a 10th
Draft an elite WR at the end of Round 1, maybe St Brown
Draft an elite RB at beginning of Round 2, maybe Jeanty
Draft best available combination in Rounds 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9 maybe reach for a QB

Option 2:
Keep Rashee Rice for a 5th
Keep Pickens for a 6th
Draft Elite RB in both Round 1 and Round 2 (Jeanty and Hampton maybe)
Draft RB/WR best available in Rounds 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 needing both a QB and a TE

10-team league or 12-team league?

I'm seeing Loveland with an ADP around #44

in a 10-team league...he's mid-5th round pick

in a 12-team league...he's late-4th round pick

his ceiling could be 1,000 yards & 10 TD's

(after 700 & 6 last year)

I've been wondering about Kyren (ADP #28) and Corum (ADP #82) with the Rams

the addition of Myles could mean more 2nd half / 4th quarter leads for LAR...and more rushing attempts

Kyren seems like a great 3rd round pick -- especially for managers that start WR / WR

It's a 10 team half PPR league. Can't keep 1st or 2nd rounders from last year.

So Option 1 is the better way to go? Should I replace Pickens with Rashee Rice for a 6th?
W
How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
Pickens' ADP is around #24

he would be a very good WR2 to pair with an elite WR1

other managers would be happy to see him back in the redraft pool

Rice might still be there in the 3rd round -- he's going several picks after Pickens

In a 12 Team HALF PPR, would you rather draft at the 8, 9, or 10 position?

the difference between drafting #8 and #10 is ARSB -- he is such a consistent reliable player

he should be there at #8, but might not make it to #10

if you would rather have Lamb, then picking at #9 or #10 is fine
W

one advantage of picking at #10...

there will be better RB's to choose from at #15

Achane and Hampton could or should still be available -- Chase Brown more than likely

but Achane and Hampton probably don't make it to #17

Well now that Cyrus Allen and Xavier Worthy were both injured in practice I'm betting that the Chiefs sign Stefon Diggs. Also has me pushing Rashee Rice further up the rankings despite also not being 100%.

note on the Lions...

Detroit plays 12 of its 17 games indoors this year

and the road trip to Green Bay is week 18, so not an issue for fantasy

Jared Goff is drafting as QB15 or QB16 with an ADP around 110

great pick for managers who wait on QB
