I did say, if he was healthy, that's a big if for a guy with back to back Achilles injuries the last 2 years. Plus he was trying to negotiate a new contract at the beginning of the year. The last time he was healthy he was one of the best backs in the league for the second half of the season.

I don't expect much from Pierce this year, especially if we're talking a flier on someone like Lakers.

I know it's just training camp and it's easy to overreact, especially when you're optimistic about the upcoming season. But a few things out there from the past several days:

-Season tickets are sold out.
-Kenyon Green is down 35 pounds and looks to be healthy.
-Metchie looking healthy.
-Diggs playing like Diggs.
-Stingley said the defense is ahead of schedule compared to last season.
-Lassiter looking great and is going to be starting as a rookie.
-Pitre getting more reps closer to the line of scrimmage.
-Will Anderson added 15 lbs, up to 263 now.
-HOF induction order is out, Andre will be the last player inducted at the ceremony.

Given that the staff didn't need to come in and do as much eval work to figure out what they have I expected this to be the case.
