The thought process a few years ago was that taking OC duties away from Garrett would allow him to be a better in-game manager. Nothing has changed. He still is absolutely brainless when it comes to managing a clock. Spiking on 1st down was brainless. Throwing on 3rd down was nearly as bad.
This game drew even in the 4th quarter because the Cowboys superior talent eventually weighed in. This coaching staff is brainless when it comes to game-planning.

I know there's a lot of anger right now but that game was just one of those games. An all time classic. Someone always has to lose in those.
Bottom line is they were never winning the SB with that defense. Watch out next year though. Should be favorites.

Not going to zeke on 3rd and 2 on the very first drive made no sense. The substitution mismanagament killed them multiple times. And the clock play sealed it.

I am a diehard Cowboys fan who grew up in Dallas. I can't freak out about the outcome. This was an awesome playoff game. I give Rodgers and Cook credit for being clutch.

Dallas would only have lost on a missed FG or turnover if they had run a play instead of clocking it. On the other hand, running another 15 seconds off the clock would have done serious harm to the chances of winning in regulation. I think the wrong call, but it's close.
