My original post on this topic wasn't women are bad voters vs men being better voters. It was that political policies morph to garner votes. Before women had the right to vote political policies were long term visions. Now it's about immediacy. Politicians don't present longterm strategies because that doesn't get women to vote. Show a crying mom at the border and the women turn out.
I think the reason you see Christian married women vote that way is because they have Christian husbands leading their families.
Islam longterm planning is coming to fruition in this thread with France. They have multi generational plans to conquer the west being manifested. It's working. While obviously we don't want their plan to succeed we can see the results of it's effectiveness in France.
Vs what? I hate long term strategies does Europe have? Import immigrants and print fiat money? Can you name anything more short sighted.
Okay that is a slightly different perspective then what I replied to. Apologies of sorts as it is hard to tease out full perspectives from a post or two.
I personally think people have shorter attention spans because of the rise of materialism and short term dopamine driven entertainment movement. A person who lacks discipline and the ability to abstain from a treat now for a better outcome in the future is going to act that way in most aspects of life.
So you will see a rise in obesity, betting, suicide, sexual promiscuity, divorce, agnosticism, and materialism. Now all of that i argue is easily observable. Now apply that same societal dynamic to politics and of course you see that as a society the tradeoff is more heavily favored to short term dopamine.
Now lets think about this in terms of voting behavior by city type. Rural areas vote insanely red. People in a rural setting have a slower pace of life and less instant gratification. The opposite is Urban environment. Where lights, activities, and the next big thing is on schedule for tomorrow. Also has the highest democrat vote. Urban areas dominate state outcomes, except for Texas. Illinois, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Georgia, etc wouldnt ever vote blue if it weren't for the major cities.
Not convinced look at age. Millenials and Gen Z voted overwhelmingly democrat. Guess who have some of the shortest attention spans. Those generations (in part because of their age). Meanwhile older more settled adults like Gen X vote Red. Which of those groups do you think can delay a treat now for 2 treats in the future?
All of that is to say women are not the boogeyman they are made out to be. And I think many people should guard their hearts against a desire to blame a group as the source of their trouble. That usually doesnt have healthy outcomes...
Now the meat of the question why does it matter if it is actually a society problem and not just a women voting behavior problem? Because if your solution doesnt address the root problem you are merely putting a band aide on a mortal wound! Which is what has happened in Europe. I remember traveling in France around Easter. Me and friends left Paris to go see Normandy. Everything in the small town was closed. A French woman was like yeah everything is closed this is a catholic area. So Paris and the major urban areas are much like Chicago in Illinois or Portland in Oregon. It dominates the politics. Dont let your entire view of a country be shaped by 3 tweets and a meme.
