Those polls are ******ed btw. Dems have no message other than "stop Trump".
No one other than the unhinged left and CMs is motivated still by Orange Man Bad only. You eventually have to have ideas.
But if you trust the polls, more power to you. Go knock on them doors for LowT and GOTV.

Since that is what the vast majority of the country wants right now, it seems like a smart message on their part.

"Stop being an idiot and waking up" is exactly what Trump did for America with tariffs and Iran.
If you cannot see that, hope is lost on you. Sorry.

You guys want to usher in socialism, be prepared for what results.
Americans will not go as quietly as the French and Brit's did.
Best of luck in wanting to destroy our Country.

As radical as a lot of the candidates on the left are, it is hard to get people excited to go to the polls to vote for a candidate that is "less bad." You also have the less partisan that are so pissed at the Republicans that they will say screw it let's give the other guys a chance.
Trump is toxic and doesn't help by injecting himself into the conversation because his ego can't let something not be about him. So, they are trotting him off to Alabama and Oklahoma in hopes he will do less damage there. There is a reason Abbott is "too busy" to meet up with Trump when he is in Texas. Trump will make it all about himself up until election day and then after huge losses will blame the candidates (that he endorsed in the primary).

This administration is more socialist than anything ever seriously proposed by the Democratic Party at large. Handing out checks in the mail, government owning equity stakes in companies, manipulating markets with government funds, tariffs, creating a state owned oil company that took concessions and delivery of barrels from Venezuela… the list goes on.
Your definition of socialist has lost its meaning. It's just a trigger word that you know you're supposed to hate.

Stop Trump then what?
You can be in approving of what he has done and not want the other team / player put in the game.
Polls don't ask that when they ask for approval ratings, making tying approval rating to voter sentiment mostly worthless. HTH.
If you asked for Reeds approval rating as QB it probably remains low. If the question is would rather have Reed or a triple amputee who is legally blind and transferred from Baylor, Reed may still be underwater but the results would be closer. Again, HTH.
Otoh, perhaps they are correct, and the Trump supporters are wrong.YouBet said:Captn_Ag05 said:TRM said:

There will be a new impeachment pretty much monthly. That's their whole plan.
If Dems get the House, there will be at least 10 impeachment resolutions filed Day 1.

I agree. They will not be able to help themselves. They never learn.
The entire two years will be dominated by efforts to impeach him. That will satisfy the base but put off independents. Part of me wonders if the best thing for Republicans in 2028 is to lose 2026.

Good luck with that. We're nowhere near the threshold for anything of that substance to even start being contemplated, much less actioned.
Quote:
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of men who wanted to be left alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people's door, and they will cry, scream and beg for mercy… but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the men who just wanted to be left alone."

I'll ignore your childish ad hominem, but I will point out the fallacy of your obvious strawman.
The Democratic Party is not a monolithic party. Nor is it controlled by far-left extremists. The far-left would like to gain control of the party. Absolutely. I share your concern of that happening. But thus far the moderate Dem base, whose numbers are still in the tens of millions, retains control.
Conversely, the convicted criminal Trump and his faction of corrupt lying Trumpers are in full control of the national GOP and most of the state-level GOP organizations. Everyone knows it and admits it.
The moderate Rs have almost zero power and almost zero influence in the Trump Administration.
In Congress, Trump and the corrupt Trump faction of the GOP have primaried and ousted almost all of the moderate Rs. You can count the number of remaining moderate Rs who will still hold seats in the next Congress on ten fingers.
The best way to limit the extensive damage Trump and his faction are doing to our country is to create gridlock in D.C. That means elect Dems to Congress. The Dems won't have a veto proof majority in the Senate. But they will be able to block the worst of Trump's unlawfulness and corruption.
