I think the golf course thing was most likely a guy who was tipped on where Trump would be at what time. The kid in Butler was a plant. He was dead before he even fired a shot, just had no idea. The folks behind that got him there, had him attempt, then killed him and cleaned it up ASAP. That was almost assuredly a CIA attempt.

But that's how inept out government has become. 60 years ago, they pulled off the greatest assassination in modern times and never had to get caught. Now, they cannot even kill a guy right in from them with nothing in between a rifle and a podium.

There have been numerous assassination plots and valid threats aimed at the Obamas, starting when he became a POTUS candidate in 2007 and continuing through 2023. Most were reported to LE or discovered by Law Enforcement and then the perps were stopped by LE.

The attempt last night against Trump and the Thomas Crooks one should have been stopped and derailed long before the two perps were able to get that close to a POTUS. Why the SS and other LE agencies didn't is very concerning, imo. Was it Incompetence? Malfeasance? Honest errors in security and protection due to some other reason? Whatever it is, it needs to be found out and fixed pronto.
