Piker is the Fuentes of the left: an abject moron far too many pay attention to, imho. Rogan is an intelligent, articulate man, with whom I have more political disagreements than agreements. But he's too honest to be a leftist, clearly.

Hopefully we learn much more about Cole Tomas Allen shortly. I'd just note that investigators reportedly consider him to be a 'lone wolf' not part of a conspiracy etc. A bit much is being made of his $25 donation to Kamala imho.

Hopefully the FBI doesn't wipe his entire online existence before we learn of his circle of friends/thoughts. But, if past is prologue...

I remember going to DC during W's term and getting yelled at by USSS for taking a step backwards into the street in front of the the White House. It was night and there was snow on the ground and no traffic, but we just wanted a better picture. We were on the E Street side, but I remember then being blown away at how quickly the SS guy came over to yell at us. It was less time than it would have taken to hop the fence, that's for sure.

Oh noes he knew when people would be seated? Spoken like someone who has never been to any kind of gala or fancy dinner. There's always a schedule. People always mill about and start sitting down with head tables sitting earlier. Someone already told everyone attending what time things would get going and what order things would happen. Something like this is going to basically be the same run of show each year.

Unfortunately I think the next republican presidential candidate will receive the same or worse. I remember '04 I saw more "anybody but W" stickers than Kerry stickers. In '12 they made Mitt Romney into a monster. They've just had three election cycles to really get exercised about Trump.

On the homeland, I still think a top of the line auto range/zero scope is the biggest risk. Drone jammers and other outside protocol exist to protect POTUS inside 100 yards. Its when you get outside 1000 yards that it gets exponentially harder to spot. The newest tech is starting to eliminate the need for special expertise.
