Trump was indeed up bright and early vowing to hit them hard. He also had the big oil guys at the White House this morning.

Combined with Bessent making more remarks on using sanctions and military action together and we may be seeing a real escalation.

Also more reporting on general unrest in Tehran and Israel itching to bomb some things as well.

Now we are talking, more kinetic action to get their attention. Kill as many of those republican guardsmen as possible, particularly Vivaldi or whatever his name is.

There are entire neighborhoods around the university in Tehran I'd be fine with leveling via Tomahawks etc.

More to follow. They aren't slinking around in tunnels around tiny packed Gaza, this time. We've had 'eyes on the objective' for months.

There are a couple of CITIES in Iran that have been around since ancient times, with some being just recently "rediscovered". How much Iran could, would or is making use of these is publicly unknown but those ancient complexes would exceed what was in Gaza.

Plus the missile / drone tunnels scattered about. Those ****ers have been digging holes for millennia to stay cool and out of site from invaders.

The latter we have eyes on and have leveled the entrances (and in some cases they have tried to dig out and we strike them again).

Now the former,,, that is some intel Mossad may have but it would not surprise me if Iran has repurposed and replicated the concept of cities underground. NatGeo has a new series on underground structures and featured the very recent discovery of Arbakuh similar to places like Nushabad. The trickier part of these is they exist and the entrances are already there within existing homes / buildings.

You can hideaway a network of loyalists in those places and they will need to be dealt with in some way, hopefully through internal purging.

Iran attacking Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait with IAE now on higher alert. Bold strategy Ayatollah.

Seeing also the Jordanian attack was intercepted over Syria. (Reported by Al Jazeera)

Also read that a car drove through a proIRGC rally with "large number of casualties reported". (Just X posting at this time).

Not at all surprising that this came immediately on the heels of Iran's meeting with Russia.

How is Russia getting these weapons into Iran?

And considering Russia is already flirting with attacking NATO, this says more about the absolute desperation of both regimes….

Can just ship it over the Caspian, right?

More interesting to me is why they want to given the problems they already have dealing with Ukraine. My guess is the Iranians are getting the leftover junk, which must be some real trash

I believe through Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea.

Bandar Abbas is their primary import/export port.

During strikes last month we severely degraded the infrastructure there to further choke their economy, and it looks like we are doing it again.

I mean they can try. But I would think since Putin is out there announcing it maybe we will be looking for it?

Also, if one is used and we know where it comes from, it's lights out in Moscow. I mean quite literally.

Trump is not afraid to threaten Putin with a major attack. There is a reason Ukraine was not pursued until Biden took office.

Considering our blockade, I wouldn't think much is going in our out of Bandar Abbas. I imagine we're striking it to limit their ability to attack ships rather than to degrade their ability to import/export.

Don't even have to go through Kazakhstan, just straight from Russia out into the Caspian, round the corner of Azerbaijan and into Iran.

Well, there you go. We already know Iran and Russia are trading via Caspian. Last month Ukraine attacked an Iranian ship in the Caspian that was transporting weapons to Russia. Then Iran made the big stink about potentially attacking Ukraine.

Let's put some logic on this. Ukraine knows about a ship carrying Iranian weapons to Russia, but the United States is NOT going to know about a ship carrying Russian bougie weapons to Iran?/

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

We also had the CIA director taking a previously undisclosed trip to see Putin a few weeks ago that was leaked to the press last week.

Actually the trip was last Tuesday.

A similar trip was made by William Burns just before the invasion of Ukraine.

I have no way of knowing, but I imagine the messages to Moscow were quite… different.

Did anyone ever say the US doesn't know that Russia is supplying materials to Iran?

I find it interesting it happened AND we are seeing reports and video of it.

Though maybe it has been happening and we just have not been hearing about it.

This appears to be related to what I had posted earlier about the attack on pro-IRGC folks.

Mashhad is considered the spiritual capital, a regime stronghold, and it's likely where a lot of the regime is hiding out. It's in the northeast near the border of Afghanistan and very far away from the Gulf. Pretty much the maximum distance away within Iran from US or Israeli strike assets.

If we are seeing reports of unrest there that's not ideal for the regime.

Seems like it was just yesterday that they were inviting their neighbors to "unite under the flag of Islam and fight the real enemy". Like literally yesterday...

They're new targets to the fight? We didn't know about them before? They're mobile targets?

Any number of reasons we haven't hit them before.

However, the attacks were part of a larger plan to prevent Tehran from rebuilding radar and missile capabilities used to attack the ships, the report added.

One US official said the strategy was to "mow the lawn" in order to reduce the risk of Iranian attacks on oil tankers and US military assets in the region, said Axios.

Around 100 Iranian targets hit on Tuesday, US official says

Around 100 targets were attacked during Tuesday's round of strikes, Axioscited US officials as saying.

IRGC air defense sites, radar systems, mine-laying capabilities, communications sites, anti-ship cruise missile launchers and attack drone launchers were among the targets hit, the officials said.
Iran has, in response, launched attacks on Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq.

The US embassy in Jerusalem issued a security warning for American citizens in the Middle East due to rising tensions.

Similarly, Bahrain's Interior Ministry issued an alert for "potential threats in the country."
The renewed strikes degraded Tehran's capabilities in Hormuz and "bought at least a month" of lowered threat levels for commercial tankers, a US official told Axios.

Trump: 'Almost total control of Hormuz Strait'

Trump claimed that he "couldn't care less" if Iran signs an agreement in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday.
"I like our position now much better, with almost total control of the Hormuz Strait, and their economy totally collapsing," he said in the post.

Jpost article.

From Al Jazeera update feed;
Quote:

Basij fighters killed in US strikes on Iran's Lavan island
Three Basij paramilitary fighters were killed in US strikes on Iran's Lavan island, according to Iran's Mehr news agency.
At least 18 military personnel and civilians died in the overnight attacks.
The Basij is a volunteer unit that falls under the command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and enlists civilians. The militia is considered deeply ideological, often made up of young, working-class men. There is an estimated force of 450,000 personnel.
Basij troops are often deployed on the front lines of protests and have played a large role in countering uprisings against the government in recent years.

FINALLY - we are hitting them where it hurts. We took out 2 of their oil tankers engine rooms anchored off their coast in retaliation for the two ships they just hit the other day. That will grind that BS to a screeching halt. 10 more tankers or so and we will have them on the edge of annihilation. Please keep trying to take pot shots.
