I have been calling for destruction of Iranian ports on the Caspian, and destruction of all infrastructure in nearby Tehran. Seems like a no brainer to me. However, our leaders must (hopefully) have good reasons for not doing that yet.

Outside of post-apocalyptic scenarios, I'm not sure we see a sizable ground force invasion from the US ever again.

With drones and new warfare, boots on the ground are very much sitting ducks, I feel like.

This. Iraq and Afghanistan combined had about half the population and are a combined 200,000 square miles smaller than Iran.

The inept IRGC has threatened retaliation if/when the IDF takes this ridge in Lebanon where their proxy hezbollah leadership/command structure are holed up. This gets into details I'm not familiar with but it seems like it's a big deal.


One can easily find more on x, but the point is their proxies are under immense pressure, right when they are low on cash flow/influence.

Could be both but I think the example is an open-air market bazaar.

Again, it seems like we are just now getting more videos and updates from the ground in Tehran.

Either IRGC continues to lose control over these things or its now being let slip out by friendly intel.

Rosh Hashanna coming up in a week. If Iran has any last gasps, could see them stir it up a bit.

Reports that we hit another Iranian tanker today, this time off of Kharg island. Haven't seen any reports that Iran hit anything, so hopefully we are going on the offensive with their tankers now instead of tit for tat.

No, it seems the visit was more to tell Moscow that actually attacking NATO was going to end poorly for them, then described what popping an EMP over Moscow would do to Putin and friends. The opposite of Biden's "Don't" diplomacy that had his CIA director visit Moscow just before the Ukraine special military operation.
