They needed a way to save face and announce a measure of success in negotiations. If you can give them something they can claim as a win, they will concede things you want. It seems the pressure of the blockade is working, but the question now is are we obligated to let up if they truly have let up also?

Devil is definitely in the details. A pledge from them is worthless and who exactly is the 3rd party holding the uranium? Anyone other than US and it's a worthless deal. The $20B will be used to build back their military and proxies just like the Obama $$ was used.

Need to make them sweat out the blockade longer. That's how regime change comes.

like everything else for President Trump-

let's see what the FINAL ACTUAL deal is before freaking out.

considering there have been about 4,897 "reports" about what Trump was about to do and zero of them were acccurate.

also just an FYI to keep in mind that the USA and Israel bombing campaign cost the Islamic Republic about $400 billion in losses

So pretty much Iran gets what they want. Billions in cash to save their regime, in exchange for more "pledges" and "promises" that mean nothing.

The US receives lower gas prices at the pump.

The radio just said Trump posted on Truth Social that no money will exchange hands and that it will be a permanent ban on nuclear enrichment and not just a one year ban.

I don't believe that will ever happen but if it does just another huge victory for the USA

I think instead it will be United Nations or IAEA personnel going in and months for us to verify

the Iranians will LIE and stall for time and hope Trump goes away

Regardless of getting the uranium out or not - I think Iran has finally realized getting a nuke isn't the trump card (no pun intended) they thought it would be. Instead, I think they see how useful and cheap drone warfare is and as such has had a serious re-think about their defense/terror strategy going forward. The juice isn't worth the squeeze so to speak.

Yes, the Ukraine model is going to change the game. I also expect large countries with a lot of $ will re-tip the scales in short order. Force multiplier and $ will overcome basic force multiplier.
