WHY IS IT no one criticizing Israel ever agrees Hamas should surrender and free the hostages?

If there is concern for the lives and welfare of the "Palestinian" people, this is the clearest path forward to ending their suffering.

Even Hitler's generals surrendered as soon as Hitler was dead to alleviate the suffering of the German people. But Hamas hangs on.

No one criticizing Israel will admit Hamas and their desire to retain power at the expense of the suffixing of their people is the problem.

Hamas should surrender and free the hostages

You're so close. What would the outcome be if Hamas surrendered and freed the hostages? What would the outcome have been if they had done so a year ago?

What do you mean im so close. The dude literally said no one had said what I just said. This weird "you just love Hamas if you don't think it's okay for tanks to attack Churches" dichotomy is strange

Guess I have to spell it out for you. You're so close to admitting who is 100% at fault for every Palestinian death and 100% at fault for it continuing today when they could have stopped by releasing the hostages and surrendering at any point in time.

Hamas is not responsible for random Israeli settlers attacking Palestinians. It's not responsible for an Israeli tank attacking a church. That's like a police officer being called to the scene of a crime, randomly sexually assaulting a bystander at the scene, and then blaming the criminal.

No, it's like a police officer being called to the scene of a robbery and the criminals firing indiscriminately at them while hiding behind children. Which is what Hamas is actually doing every day. Unfortunately apparently there are people dumb enough to believe the narrative put out by Hamas.

Again, there would be no war without October 7th. In case you forgot since you seem to have a short memory when it comes to Hamas, they murdered, raped and kidnapped a couple thousand innocent civilians.

Yes exactly. No war without October 7. Except in Syria, who Israel just bombed, because some people's mustache's were being pulled of.

You still can't answer the question. What does the war look like if Hamas doesn't murder, rape and kidnap a couple thousand innocent civilians? Or you know the answer and just choose to ignore it.

Is it possible that a Palestinian Christian church in Gaza full of Palestinians is more supportive of Palestinians than Jews in Israel? If that is plausible, could it be that the Cstholic leadership of the church might be providing support to Hamas and has made itself a military target? Pure hypothesis with no facts, but just thinking of the possibility.

Sure I guess its possible. Is it possible that Israel attacked the Church because they actually just really don't like Christianity that much? (I bet you won't cede that is possible).

Because it's not possible. The Israeli government does not attack Christians, unlike some of those Muslim nations y'all are white knighting for.

I just ceded to the poster that it is possible that the Church was somehow a military target because it was sympathetic to Hamas. The Catholic Church does not support terrorism, so I of course don't personally believe this was happening. But for the interest of discussion I ceded it was possible. You however apparently are unwilling to admit even the possibility of Israel ever intentionally doing anything wrong ever. It's war, and people do horrible things in war- but not Israel somehow. They are uniquely always good and righteous. It's bizarre, but explains your views.

There is a 0% chance that Israel attacked a Catholic Church solely out of hatred for Catholics, which is what you posited. It's a ridiculous notion with no basis in reality.

Do me a favor and brush up on what the Talmud and what various influential Rabbis say about Christians. I think there's a greater than zero chance knowing these facts.

Ok. So let's just say this was an intentional attack on Christianity, which it wasn't, do you honestly think the Catholic Church is innocent of its past history of its treatment of the Jews?

Jews don't hate Christians. But I don't think the opposite can be said of SSPX and Judiasm.

The SSPX has been around for all of about 4% of Christianity.

And yet you and your compatriots continually come on this board and make thinly veiled or not so thinly veiled anti-Semitic comments.

Yeah it's a bummer how frequently we have new material

So do they espouse anti-semitism in your Sunday homilys or do you SSPX guys just join up becuase you're anti-Semitic from the get go?

Our worship is actually more about Jesus and has very little to do with the Jews; we're not evangelicals.

Jesus was a practicing Jew, so kind of hard to throw one out without the other.

Yeah, and then he came and fulfilled the law of the prophets and reigns as the messiah that was foretold. Everything kind of changed after the resurrection.

Yes, and while it changed, it doesn't mean that the customs and rituals that he engaged in suddenly became evil. The Bible literally talks about how the Jews will be blinded to the truth of Christ. It does not say to hate them because they reject Him.

For most of Christian history, the SSPX would have been redundant because the RCC itself held its "traditionalist" vicious antisemitism.

It was only after one Catholic-raised Austrian went overboard with his racial ideas that the RCC had to significantly rethink its relationship to Judaism.

Of course it's always been a volatile region. Par for the course when everyone around Israel wants to destroy them. Are you actually saying the situation on October 6 was the same as it is today?

Let's just try this - what percentage of blame do you assign to Hamas for starting the war by murdering, raping and kidnapping a couple thousand innocent civilians? (Feels like I need to keep repeating that because you seem to have forgotten)

Are we really doing this? Its amazing the lengths people will go to absolve Israel of any culpability. Yes, Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 and killed people and took hostages. Since then, Israel has killed many people as well. OK. Just because Israel was attacked by Hamas does not give them carte blanche to strike Churches. When Israel strikes a Church, Israel is responsible, not Hamas. Condemning Israel for shooting a tank at a Church is not anti semitic.

We have no idea why the church was hit. But there's a close to zero percent chance Israel just decided to bomb a church because they were bored. It was either a mistake, which can obviously happen in wars, or Hamas was hiding there behind civilians like they have the entire war 1. because they are cowards and 2. they know anti Israel idiots in the west will fall for their propaganda

And yes, when Hamas is wholly responsible for starting and continuing the war, you can blame them 100% for every single reciprocal action that's happened as a result. No October 7, no war. Hamas picked the fight and Israel is finishing it.

ETA - also, not only did Hamas start the war and is still holding hostages, they have been offered reasonable ceasefire terms multiple times and said no. They don't want the war to end and clearly don't care value Palestinian civilians caught in the middle.

Do they not teach the 11th chapter of Romans in your Bible study classes? Concerning the temporary spiritual blindness of Israel regarding their Messiah:

" 25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [f]opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be [g]saved, as it is written:

"The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins."
28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable." NKJV.

BTW, you know very well when you deboard your aircraft in Tel Aviv that the jetway walls are covered with welcome from a Christian organization, or at least were 2 years ago when I visited.

Is this joke? It's constant war. Regardless of the reason. You think the tensions between Palestine and Israel started a few years ago?

Do they not teach the 11th chapter of Romans in your Bible study classes? Concerning the temporary spiritual blindness of Israel regarding their Messiah:

" 25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [f]opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be [g]saved, as it is written:

"The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

This is just going to devolve into the differences between the understanding of foreknowledge, predestination, God's passive will, and the identification of "Israel".

Nobody doubts whether or not God loves the Jews. Of course he loves the Jews, he sent his only son specifically as King of the Jews for their conversion, we Gentiles just got the Apostles. Unfortunately the Jews of that time had him put to death, their plan for salvation is no different than mine.

I believe he was referring to the 99.6% of the worldwide muslim population that doesn't live in America enjoying the perks. Some might call that an overwhelming majority.

"Here" for me is in Abu Dhabi, where western culture is absolutely everywhere, as it is in almost the entire GCC

Fine - take another 0.02% off that 99.6% figure for Abu Dhabi with it's large population of western expats. It changes nothing, but you already know that.

Hamas targeting innocents gives Israel the right to target innocents?

The left has their issues, but they don't have to deal with Dispensationalists condoning Israeli targeting of Apostolics that is condemned by sane Evangelicals and sane Apostolics

While Dispensationalists applaud Israeli bombing of ISIS radicals in Syria, that they put in place last month, for bombing Apostolics and religious minorities. Meanwhile sane Evangelicals and sane Apostolics are saying, this is exactly what everybody knew would happen.

But the right has to coalesce around these disagreements or else we become Canada.

The American right has to disagree on foreign policy or else domestic policy gets ceded to the left.

Would you like to summarize that 232 page document or do you have a point? Is there something in there about Israel purposely targeting innocents? Because so far there's no evidence of that.

Israel wouldn't be fighting this war if Hamas didn't start it, or if Hamas surrendered and released the hostages. So yea, every death is at Hamas' feet.
