With the parish priest being injured, 4 people in total seriously wounded with 2 facing life threatening injuries.

Cardinal Pizzaballa providing a stable even hand to try to diffuse the situation. God bless him.

Even hand, my ass. Anybody who called it "an occupation" and is a useful idiot for the Palestinians is anything but "even" or SANE for that matter.

Wow - 2 million Gazans and only one Catholic Church? Their culture sure is anti-Catholic.

Well, they are bent on destroying Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian nuclear program. They are bent on stopping the genocide against their Druze allies in Syria by the Bedouin and Islamists. If they wanted to truly genocide the people of Gaza, they would use chemical weapons, like Arab regimes in Syria and Iraq have done.

Nah, they would bomb them to bits and pieces while starving them. Just like they are doing now.

I don't care that they are going to wipe these people off the planet. It's not my problem, I can't stop it.

But this is a genocide. They killing everything big enough to die.

The population of Gaza has held steady at 2.1m, is that the normal result of a genocide? If they are "killing anything big enough to die", then we're talking storm trooper level of marksmanship here.

So by Gaza "Health Ministry" (read Hamas) statistics, some 64-68,00 Gazans have died. Of course there is no mention of how many were associated with Hamas, Islamic jihad or other terrorist groups. That's out of a population of ~2.1 million in an active combat zone.

To your point about starvation: the UN reports 1 in 10 Gaza children are malnourished. That's 10 percent.
https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2025/7/16/unrwa-sounds-alarm-as-1-in-10-children-in-gaza-malnourished

That sounds much more like a distribution problem than genocide.
The Nazis, who conducted an actual genocide of Jews, deliberately underfed and overworked the Jewish prisoners in their concentration camps.

Ah how nice, the regularly scheduled "Israel is evil" thread.

It is war and stuff like this happens, but the OP is always trying to convince us that the Jews are trying to genocide Christians.

That is one more than Saudi Arabia (33 million)

AI

Bahrain opens largest Catholic church in the Arabian ...While there are no Catholic churches officially open to the public in Saudi Arabia, a significant Catholic community exists, primarily composed of foreign workers, who practice their faith discreetly in private settings. Religious freedom is severely restricted in Saudi Arabia, an Islamic theocracy, and public displays of other religions are prohibited.
Key Points:
No Public Churches:
Saudi Arabia does not permit the construction or operation of churches or any public places of worship for non-Muslim religions.
Private Worship:
Catholics and other Christians worship in secret, often within private homes, due to restrictions on public religious expression.
Foreign Workers:
The Catholic population in Saudi Arabia is largely composed of expatriate workers from various countries, including the Philippines, India, and other parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, according to the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia.
Strict Laws:
Saudi Arabia enforces strict Islamic laws, and public practice of other religions is forbidden, including the wearing of religious symbols.

You can define or distort it anyway you choose, but the government of Israel is killing every single thing moving within the borders of Gaza (and outside of it), with seemingly no discrimination. They have also leveled every usable piece of infrastructure there too. Probably to kill people the much cheaper, but old fashioned way via starvation and horrible conditions. Its a much easier discussion on what to do with Gaza, once you just kill every last thing in it. Hamas has been dead and gone since Sinwar, but Israel still has "work to do". I suspect Israel will treat the rest of the Gazan population like China treats its Uyghur population - persecution, camps, death.

The pro-Palestine argument always goes like this:

1) I'm not saying October 7th was justified.

2) Say stuff here to justify it.

3) It was okay for Israel to respond, but not like this.

q: How should they have responded?

3b) Not like this!

(infinite loop until person asking expires of exasperation)

-------------

All these "military experts" armchair quarterbacking the IDF from a Starbucks comfy chair are deluded into some fantasy where you can attack Hamas and no civilians would be harmed. They should google how many civilians were killed when the Allies were driving the Germans out of France.

Believe it or not, it is possible to not be the biggest fan of Israel, while still realizing that they are a vastly superior and more compassionate and tolerant people and culture to their illiterate Islamic death cult neighbors.

Islamists have been following their pedophile warlord's commands to destroy anyone and everyone since their founding in the 7th century.

My favorite two camps, who I consider virtually one in the same are (a) Queers for Islam, and (b) White nationalist Catholics for Islam.

LOLOL at both. Two sides of same coin. Just absurd.

The brave anglo Catholics who had to fight off the invading Islamic hordes centuries ago are rolling in their graves.

Wouldn't have been a war there if Hamas hadn't attacked on October 7th.
