What does Palestine want?
I didn't realize the Secretary-General comprised the entire UN.rgvag11 said:

Well, when they murdered 1200 people in a single day in Oct, 2023 and cheered in the streets when 3200 Americans died on Sept 11 2001; what the F* do you expect, they are going to be called evil because they are. Oh and never mind a string of suicide Attacks on coffee houses from 2004 to 2007 that killed even more young people and innocents. Yes, the Palestinians long earned the title, evil.rgvag11 said:93MarineHorn said:When dealing with Palestinians and their surrounding neighbors? NO. They haven't gone far enough.rgvag11 said:93MarineHorn said:My earlier point, exactly.esteban said:The IDF has killed a lot of civilians in the last two years. There is a limit to what October 7th can be used to justify. Israel is losing support all over the world due to their own actions. They're giving have no one to blame but themselves.damiond said:
makes sense
dims are bleeding heart liberals with no sense of personal responsibility or moral direction
libs see all the dead palestinians and blame the isrealis
they can not imagine nor do they care that palestinians brought this upon themselves
The Palestinians crossed a line on October 7th. Watching that poor girl that was basically raped to death being paraded around naked on the back of a motorcycle while hundreds of Palestinians ecstatically cheered and spat on her is what did it for me. I said it back then: Israel needs to lay waste Gaza. It wasn't just a few terrorists that awful day. That was THE Palestinians that committed the barbarism.
But Israel never crosses your line?

That's what I figured - - when the other side is literally viewed as being evil, all behavior directed towards the other side, no matter how evil, can be condoned.
This has gone on for 3400 years. And your moral equivalence arguments are ridiculous.rgvag11 said:
I do not think Palestine is ready for a two state solution either. Both sides need to make amends, like Rwanda. As it stands right now, people who tell the truth are punished in both societies. For Israel, that hidden truth is the Nakba.
rgvag11 said:
But no thoughts or cares given to the hundreds of Palestinians that were killed in the West Bank prior, or the displacement of Palestinians from their homes?
There's a reason why EGYPT has a wall to keep the Palestinians out of their country.93MarineHorn said:You are correct. They've earned every bit of it. There will never be a peaceful co-existence and the surrounding Muslim peoples should accept the displaced Palestinians. I'm curious why they're so against it. Have Palestinians been trouble in the past?rgvag11 said:
Those that support the current Israeli government are supporting the mass killing, starvation and displacement of 5 million people. Many Israelis are against these actions. The size of the protests are reaching 1 million participants in a country of 9 million.
The Palestinians were handed over FULL control of Gaza by Israel.rgvag11 said:
Palestinians don't want to leave their home and others support their position. It's really not hard to understand once you put your biases aside.
This would be hilarious watching the left break their own necks doing a 180 on Israel...sam callahan said:
There is very little thinking that goes into leftist politics.
It's all emotion and falling in line with what the fashionable thought of the day is.
Throw in some catchy nonsensical sayings they can repeat and they are all set.
If you want the left to like the Jews again, simply have Trump throw some more tariffs on Israel. They will knee jerk back the other way.
The left has no depth to their convictions. It's all fueled by hate.
The wall isn't there because they would be "forcibly displaced".rgvag11 said:
Of course the Egyptians don't want Palestinians forcibly displaced into their lands, and the Palestinians don't want the either.
Why would you support the Palestinians then?rgvag11 said:
Ethnic cleansing is unethical and immoral.
That has zero relation to what I posted...rgvag11 said:
That's a great narrative to motivate people to ethically cleanse.

But that is a completely mis characterization of my position and an ad hominem.
Eta which atrocious behavior is being shrugged off if it isn't Israels? People have yet to acknowledge their atrocious behavior and play games about 'sources'. It's completely dishonest.
Quote:
There is no doubt that examples of misconduct and extremists can be found on the Israeli side.

You can blame 'sources' all you want, but, in reality, that's willed ignorance.
