You never answered my question about how you would have responded to Oct 7 if you were setting Israeli policy. I acknowledge there are tons of things that led up to that point and it includes violence perpetrated by both sides. That's a given. It was also the past and cannot be changed .

2 state solution might be workable except one side won't consider it. They will never be happy and will never stop with the terror tactics until Israel is gone . Even then they would jusr set their sights on the next conquest imo.

I'm sure you do...

The Palestinians in all of Israel and the Palestinians in the West Bank...

Because Israel has tried to do the 2 state solution with how the they handed over control of the West Bank and Gaza to the Palestinians.

And look where we are now...

The Israelis didn't start this *****

You're just upset that they're winning...

THIS...

The only 2 state solution the Palestinians will accept is the state of Palestine and the state of NO ISRAEL...

There are probably some that would accept it but they are never the ones setting "policy" for their side.

I truly feel for those suffering under the rule and thuggery of Hamas. If you want what's best for them, you want Hamas gone, too.

I am not sure Palestine should have a state at this point. Israel pulled out of Gaza, and look what they did with that, accumulating in Oct 7th. Why continue to repeat history? They should be fully occupied and de-radicalized, educated, which will take a few generations imo. Then reconsider after that time, but that's probably a good 30-50 year effort.

What does a two state solution look like, exactly, and why would it solve any of the local grievances?

It's been happening, and is on-going. Israel is taking over the West Bank. They are working on plans for Gaza.

I'm surprised you haven't just packed up and moved to Gaza yet. I'm sure many on here would donate to the cause. Your lovfest for Hamas is over the top.

Well, Israel accepted the 2 state solution that would have been created by the Camp David Summit in 2000.

Arafat rejected it because they didn't get all their demands met.

So...the short answer is there is NO solution that will solve the Palestinian grievances.

And yet, despite many Israelis being against some of their governments actions, many on the left, just like most of the Palestinians, still want the entire state destroyed and removed. These people never request the same for other countries like Pakistan, which was also created by the UN in 1947 from India (which did exist, unlike Palestine), with far greater initial displacement and deaths, to create….a Muslim country where non Muslims cannot hold positions in senior government with any legitimate power. Where minorities are discriminated against, where Christians and Hindus are lynched when accused of blasphemy. That's just one place on a long list of many places that many on the left ignore. USA, UK, Israel = bad. Brown people who therefore must be victims = good.

As has been mentioned, Israeli is seen as pro west, too white, targeting poor brown people so deserving of condemnation by many on the left. I'd guess that 90% or more of these dolts don't actually know any of the very complex history of that region, including the displacement of Jews from surrounding Muslim lands that numbered over 850,000. Totally ignored. **** happens I guess. The land was carved up in 1948 but Palestinians have refused to accept the idea that it's time to move on. I'm not even going to comment on the war but until Palestinians can accept they've been beaten and that there's zero hope of them ever kicking the Jews out from the river to the sea, there won't be peace. Currently, 90% believe that all of Israeli is Palestinian land. If they did that and actually came to the table wanting long term peace, I think the Israelis would play ball. I just don't see it happening while they're propped up by Qatar, Iran, the UN and of course encouraged by many in the west.

It's real surprising that CNN's data analyst is 'shocked' at how far left and anti-semitic Democrats are. If only there were signs.

The party that feted notorious anti-Semitic bigot Jimmy Carter, patron saint of the Iranian mullahs, and wants to put a jihadist in charge of NYC, to say nothing of Ilhan Omar, Tlaib, or peepaw's team trying to get Netanyahu kicked out for not surrendering to Hamas/Iran.

When arguing with a person like that you are simply wasting your time.

They are either trolling or view the world through a filter that a normal person cannot comprehend.

Look at a large segment of the pro Palestinian/Hamas protestors here in the states. They want to go out and disrupt things and virtual signal how great they are, not realizing that if they were to step foot in the Gaza strip they'd be subject to things they couldn't comprehend.

Bottom line, just ignore people like that who post their drivel on here. They are not worth your time and effort as you'd be better off trying to teach diff eq to a 3 year old.
