There have been no videos posted to this thread that show Padilla approaching the press briefing.

Padilla was to the far side of the press briefing when cameras turn to him.

All the video show agents restraining him at the start.

There is no video evidence of Padilla rushing of lunging towards Noem that has been posted to this thread.
So what?

Go to a speech and start yelling while walking down the stairs (what the video shows he did). See if you'll be given the podium, or removed.

Heck, try it at the movie theatre, or your kid's elementary lunch room...see what happens.

This is not a way to act. You know that. He knew that. Why are some of you acting like you're surprised at the most logical and expected outcome of his actions?

He's getting the only thing he cared about....headlines and publicity. And some people are falling head over heals for the theater.

Where is the video showing him yelling prior to agents restraining him and him yelling his name?

People have yet to show proof of any act Padilla performed that demanded this response.
You can hear him start yelling in the background and see him trying to get through the security on the video below.

Are you tryign to claim he was sitting there holding up his hand, waiting to be called on to ask a question and they attacked him? lol

Come on man. Try to act like him in any public venue, anywhere, and see what happens. The crying senator doesnt need a white knight...he knew what he was doing...getting headlines.

That's a second after the confrontation began.

First thing he yells is his name. Noem says he never identified himself.

Your idea of a no name senator is funny. They are 100 U.S. Senators and DHS was unaware of him? Really?
Aah.
Welcome to government. Kristi Noem would have known how he was. Random security person from DHS?
Doubt it.

Can you identify the senator from every US state?

But I agree with him on one thing...I do want an investigation, followed by a censure of Sen. Padilla for his actions.

I'll tell you what's going on, Chuck. Your boy acted an ass and got treated like one. Being an elected official isn't supposed to make you special or above the law. Y'all are supposed to be public servants and you are expected to conduct yourself with a certain amount of decorum. Attempting to derail a press conference is not in keeping with that and your boy best count himself blessed they didn't body slam his punk ass.

And who the heck cares?? Saying his name gives him no more right than you or I to act like that at a press conference.

Your idea of unidentified is comical. He is the Senator in the federal building in the state he represents. You don't think DHS was aware of who he was when he entered the building? Especially when it comes to a Press Briefing in the middle of a week's worth of protests? There is no way yall actually believe this stuff.

When was the last time an R Senator tried to force his way to the front of a cabinet head meeting and then began assaulting officers and yelling at the cabinet member when stopped? Did this happen under Biden and I missed it? Please show me the vid.

Also, What was Padilla doing there? Why was he heading to the speaker?
He was not in the area where the rest of the press and cameras were.
He was within 20 feet of the speaker on her left.

Can one of his white knights explain this to me? Where was he headed?

Per his loyal followers on here, you should just be able to barge into a room where a head of state is giving a briefing and just walk up to them and hold your own personal interview...even if no one really knows who you are right away.

But these are also the same ppl that think men can get pregnant and that black people can't get ID.

And he didn't have his senator pin on that all 100 wear as an ID. He knew that when he started walking up the side of the gathering (along the wall like a protestor trying to reach a target). It was a stunt.

The best part was this guy (who no one knew was the junior senator of California) got treated like a crazy person, except he wasn't arrested because they figured out who he was after they neutralized the threat. If I did that I would be arrested and booked.

Dude, you are SO wrong...get your act together...you're better than that.

Only Democrats should be allowed to do that. If a Republican did it, they would be guilty of insurrection and should be jailed for an undetermined amount of time with no legal representation or due process.

It would be funny if it wasn't legitimately dangerous. Calculated messaging like this (Schumer's statement) is what reinforces already dangerous false narratives and eventually motivates people to commit acts of violence in the name of the party.

If you truly believe Trump is a literal dictator and that ICE raids and deportations only started happening in the last few weeks and that MAGA security has been violently sicked on Democtrat senators, "posing a grave threat to democracy", you'd be morally justified in trying to take him or his staff out. They're essentially greenlighting Trump and his staff and even ICE agents and LEO's...and this isn't the first time.
