So let me get this straight, you think it's unfair that police shot an unarmed person rioting into the Capital? Hell I'm sure you think the whole thing was a scam and are super happy they got pardoned. Yet DHS should have tazed and shot the unarmed Senator? Man that's some ironclad logic.
Your own expert says he was in the wrong. And its obvious to anyone who is not completely biased:Omg. CNN brought on their legal expert in hopes that he would side with Sen. Padilla over DHS.

Yeah if you can find anywhere on here where I argued as to the right or wrong of the incident I would love to see it. All my points have been on the lie that DHS said they didn't know who he was. "Your side" can't seem to grasp that logic, but that's an entirely different conversation.

Gaslight all you want though.
It's real simple. When we split, the libs in red states have a choice. Move to a blue state or stay in a state where you know any illegal shenanigans will be prosecuted. Go blue or choose to live where there will be civil society, fairness in law and an opportunity to be all you can be.Tramp96 said:A_Gang_Ag_06 said:. Honest question and not trying to be a smartass. A sitting Senator thinks it's his place to disrupt and create a disturbance at a press conference and then proceeds to resist arrest as well.
Essentially ALL of California's state wide elected leaders are in open rebellion.
America will ultimately tear itself apart. It is inevitable. Both sides know it where they can admit it or not.
Which is why I am more than willing to entertain the notion of a civil, peaceful, national divorce. It's so much better than a violent, drawn out struggle, which will come to the same conclusion anyway.
Yes! We've got to start having a serious discussion about a split. We are as divided as we were during the Civil War; the guns are simply still in the holster at this point.
I have the same question, because unfortunately there is no clean split. It's like a cancer that has metastasized. I live in a pretty conservative area of a somewhat conservative county, but I still have liberals in my neighborhood, and our county seat (Denton) is a bastion of some serious far left dems in the heart of the town with red surrounding it.
Hell, even a place as conservative as Lubbock has middle left and far left throughout simply because of two universities being there.
Or take a place like conservative Georgetown, which thanks to all the liberals moving into Sun City and its close proximity to Austin, has its own blue problem to contend with now.
Or even a town like Victoria has blue entangled with red.
I just don't see how a national divorce happens. This ball of red and blue twin is way, way too entangled.

Absolutely. It was choreographed with the cameras after the fact and all the dem mouthpieces had their dialogue ready to roll out. Obvious to everyone. This is what you do when your numbers are tanking and you've lost the majority on issues.

Does anyone have a video showing this act?
He identified himself. That means he can be a ****ing jackass and rush a public figure.
That;s your ****ing logic?
I suggest you try this with any public figure in a charged situation and take video for our entertainment.
Win-win for all of us.
Now he RUSHED a public figure?
We went from LUNGE to RUSHED?
What's your logic here? Is rushing worse than lunging?
Do you have a video showing rush or lunge? (I half expect you to gaslight on this point.)

What I put together in another OP... Moving here to avoid duplication
Mostly AP article quotes
Short version...
Democrat Senator from California, Alex Padilla was removed and detained, in handcuffs, from a press event being held by DHS Secretary Noem....
AP Story....Quote:
Democratic California U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla was forcefully removed Thursday by security officers from a press conference being held on immigration by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
Video shows a Secret Service special agent on Noem's detail grabbing Padilla by his jacket and shoving him from the room, as the senator struggles to catch his breath while identifying himself.
"I'm Sen. Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary," he shouted in a halting voice. He tries to push back into the room when a second security guard appears.
Once out of the room, he can be heard shouting, "Hands off!"Quote:
DHS defended the actions of the agents.
Senator Padilla chose disrespectful political theatre and interrupted a live press conference without identifying himself or having his Senate security pin on as he lunged toward Secretary Noem," the statement said. "Mr. Padilla was told repeatedly to back away and did not comply with officers' repeated commands."
The agency said in that statement that agents "thought he was an attacker and officers acted appropriately."
What I bet you won't see widely reported...Quote:
"Secretary Noem met with Senator Padilla after and held a 15 minute meeting," the agency said.
I first saw it on Instagram

My thoughts.... Maybe he didn't realize he didn't have his pin (I didn't know there was such a thing, but ok) but he's getting the clicks he probably wanted.
