Never forget that these same dramatic r*tard clowns were calling for shutting down small business, movie theaters, day cares, public schools, restaurants, and ruining your way of life for an indefinite period of time and leading to the highest unemployment rate since the great depression for a weak ass cold virus "for safety" and 6 months later complaining about shutting down the government like it was a crime against humanity.

We were told to withdraw our Christmas PTO requests today and anticipate a shutdown since we will be off and just get back pay later.
If you're over the 240, will you get reinstatement?

If you are talking about use it or loose it time……you will loose it. But heck one would be off anyway. I saw a teammate in the office get slightly annoyed with that possibility. He asked my opinion and I told him he may loose a week but gain more time off……so really?

There was a deal Trump blew it up
The SOTH does not have enough votes to pass anything because of Rs like Chip Roy therefore

SOTH must negotiate with Jeffries, Schumer, and Biden and he had a deal

Trump through Musk Pressured SOTH to not bring that deal/bill up for a vote

Instead SOTH brought the Trump bill up and Roy & 30+Rs voted against it
Jeffries did not supply any D votes

If Johnson had any balls, it'd be a one page bill that simply continues funding until February.

There'd be no excuse to vote no if their true purpose was to simply keep the govt funded.

Why do some folks here want a Govt shutdown?

How does anarchy sound? Do you want us to become Pakistan or Syria?

This is as idiotic as the "defund the police" kooks who then demand the police to find their stuff.

It increased the debt 5 trillion dollars.

It increased unfunded liabilities.

It gave back the cuts johnson negotiated last time

Because a federal government shutdown would be a lot like Covid. Without being told it's happening you wouldn't know it's happening.

According to all of the MSM (hit) pieces, the shut down is because there were 38 Republicans that voted no, they ignore the 197 Democrats that voted no.

In my book that makes this the Democratic shutdown, because you know, I CAN COUNT!

Is there some sort of unwritten rule where congressmen can't call out others by listing their idiotic pork projects contained in the budget?

That would be more than 38 votes short without disaster and more farm subsidies it would lose more R support
Maybe Jeffries bails him out but Trump is demanding debt ceiling relief in this bill so DJT would be against it

It is times like this the British system is better if the leader does not have a reliable coalition he does not get to continue being leader

Fun fact my phone after I typed " farm s "
It suggested subsidies as the word that came next

As a gov (DoD) employee, I understand y'all's frustration. I'm also a taxpayer.

I am dedicated to my job and the mission of my organization. I don't want to be shut out of work, and I don't want "free" days off due to automatic back-pay. It's ridiculous.

But I'm just a flea on the big dog's back. It's the politicians that my frustration/anger is directed at, and I hope yours would be, too.

If I could be king for a minute, i'd put a provision in place that if the government ever shuts down, even for a second, every Representative and Senator holding office at that moment would be ineligible for re-election. Bet that would fix this problem.
