Starting to really believe this is an "eating pets" story. Then a bunch of local fly boys put their drones up to see what's going on and we have more sightings by people that can't gauge distance and size properly. At night.

I wasn't talking about your traditional ufo sighting stories rather these widespread drone sightings to include credible local authorities. I'd argue that ufo sightings and what's going on right now. That's all. I'm sure there are folks mistaking traditional airplanes for drones as well to be fair.

Government on the surface at least, clearly has no idea what to do about it. Kirby's body language has always been weird but he seems especially off here. Harried even.

The only thing they are doing officially so far is "investigating" and arresting and citing private drone owners who already have tried to use their equipment to get close. The main problem is authority and jurisdiction. Government has pushed most of this to local LE with "coordination" of their field offices with emphatic reminders that actually doing anything proactive in the air is FEDERAL jurisdiction though. Akin to sending a cop into a burning building to fight the fire. Hamstringing efforts every step of the way with legal grey areas and then playing dumb and gaslighting every chance they get when grilled on it. They refer to local resources. Local resources can't do anything and are mad and refer back to federal orgs. And so it goes. To be fair though, the legal grey areas about drones and law enforcement and who can do what have been a long known issue. This just highlights it to the nth degree.

Just food for thought on some of the mess red tape has caused on this matter.
