"Your own stuff" is the problem. You aren't going to find a court that believes a mom shouldn't have primary custody and shouldn't receive half of all assets (regardless of what they entered into the marriage with). The couple "built it together" (which is actually true in the type of marriages that don't end in divorce). And the kicker is that the wife initiates divorce almost 70% of the time. You could say the richer party should have sought a pre-nup, but what kind of "marriage" are you in if you've pre-arranged how it prematurely ends?
Your idea sounds great, but doesn't work in practice. Marriage is meant to be a forever thing. Breaking that forever commitment should result in severe penalties for the person breaking it. No fault divorce is the direct inverse.
I get that it's not always easy, and there are manipulative people that can convince authorities they did nothing wrong. No law is perfect. But I will always reject no fault divorce as it stands today. If one partner wants to leave for no apparent reason, have fun. But expect a hefty penalty.
