Of course they matter and help people decide. Or we wouldn't have them. Ben is an alt -right troll and this is his way of saying Harris won the debate.

The debates matter so much that Trump can skip every single primary debate and still easily crush DeSantis.

The debates matter so much that the 2016 "winner" of the debates lost to Trump.

Many people thing Romney "beat" Obama handily in 2012 debates, still lost.

Your triggered hate for Ben Shapiro aside, Ben is absolutely right.

Harris clearly won the debate. And other than reminding us that a lot of Republicans are bat **** crazy with their conspiracy theories around leaked questions and ear buds, it didn't change much.

Some people are saying that it solidified Harris' support which may be true. But think that was already reflected in the polling.

If they do another debate. They should insist that she wears no earrings. I think her performance will be quite different.

Now it's possible she wasn't wearing the microphones, but it seems like she was.

I've never understood this take. Have you ever tried to listen to the TV or radio, and had someone talk to you at the same time? It's confusing as the dickens. I'd guess that 99% of people trying such a strategy would hem and haw and stutter. It's insanely difficult to do two conversations at once.

This is the best review of the debate that I have seen. Very fair and complete.

You understand that most Americans that vote Dem believe that the rich don't pay their fair share of income tax?

Amazing that neither Trump or the "fact checkers" could mention the simple fact that 50% of Americans pay zero federal income tax, so of course, the tax cuts don't go to them.

I initially wondered why Trump would make the focus of his closing statement, "Why hasn't she done it for the past 3.5 years?" when the question is so easily rebutted with, "Dude, she's been VICE president."

I assumed most Americans understand that the vice president does not hold that kind of power, but after reading some comments on here, it appears that was a wrong assumption.

It just seems foolish to base your closing statement on something easily countered.

Oh, so the VP gets to ignore the record of the President and their party while in power? Come on.
According to this guy, we also should ignore that Harris broke the 50-50 tie on both the Biden American Rescue Plan AND the Inflation Reduction Act as VP, allowing both massive Dem spending bills to go to Biden's desk.

For someone with "law" in his handle, I would assume he would understand what power the VP does have. It appears that was a wrong assumption.

Literally none of that is true. We all know you have one of the most serious cases of TDS on the forum ( and that is amazing given the morons who post here). The actual general consensus I've read everywhere this morning is that Harris did not talk policy at all and it was ridiculous what ABC did and it pissed off Independents.

Hope you're right Danny. Trump needs to debate her again and on Fox News. If she won't debate him on Fox News he needs to press that non-stop.

During Trump's turns she was writing copious notes. Those could easily have been coming from outside help through earbuds. It's not like she was listening to Trump all the time. It would have been trivially easy for her to receive help.

Eagerly awaiting a single user on here to praise Mike Pence for his job as VP.
Fact Check:

As VP, Pence voted 13 times to break ties in the Senate - mostly to confirm presidential appointments, on motions, or amendments.

Kamala has voted to break ties at least 33 times (the most of any VP), many in order to spend billions of our tax dollars on Dem pet projects.
VP tie breaking history

There's a tad bit of difference.

Zero chance will she will do it. Trump should show up with two podiums and answer all questions and keep looking over at the other podium when he's done answering. It will kill with ratings and make her the joke that she is.

Every vice president that's every run ran on the record of that administration. Bush ran on "Reagan-Bush". Harris touted the "accomplishments" of her term a VP, i.e. "we did.... ". It's perfectly logical to then argue, OK, why didn't you do...

Screw Fox news, have Elon arrange a truly impartial debate on X with moderators that will ask both candidates tough questions including detailed policy positions going forward and less looking back.

KH was right about one thing (even if stated in the most intellectualy dishonest way possible) and that's that so much of what Trump talked about was history. To be fair she has a terrible track record and he future policy positions are also terrible. Trump just needs to focus on why his future policy positions are the way forward and compare and contrast them to the garbage spewed by the corrupt Democrats. He rambles too much and does not articulate his positions well. She's well rehearsed thanks to having the questions beforehand which gives her an appearance of competencey no matter how terrible her policy positions are. Political junkies see through it, but does the average low information moderate/independent in swing states see through it?

He should get Joe Rogan and Elon to moderate then have a stand in just read actual Kamala quotes to ridiculous questions.

Man I normally wouldn't respond to something like this. All I can say about the TDS comment is you may have me confused with someone else. I'm certainly not his biggest fan but the real enemies are on the left. I am well aware of that and vote accordingly.

But out of everything you are reading this morning if the 'general consensus' you are seeing is what you said, that says more about the echo chamber you have created for yourself than anything else.

Have a good day.

Wait...

Why would they need to inject lidocaine into the fetal heart so there would be no pain? Isn't it just a clump of cells?

Or are they admitting it's a living being that can actually feel pain?

It's amazing they continue to let the left frame abortion as women's health care and their body, their choice, while completely ignoring the life and body that is being brutally destroyed. It's sick!

Same as when they reprogramed our brains to disregard the Nuremberg Code and conduct mass medical experimentation on human subjects without informed consent.

They magically made the tenets of medical ethics disappear overnight. The only place you'd ever see this issue discussed was on here, and even that went over like a lead balloon.
