Who won the debate? The companies that make them trackers you put in pets.

Harris has never looked this prepared. Why? She got the questions in advance snd ABC did her favors by not pushing back on her lies and asking questions of Trump that would put him on the defensive. Happens every time with debates on the Dem biased networks.
All the questions were pretty obvious. She practiced and stayed on script. It's not that hard.
Trump didn't stay on script, rambled, and never challenged her to get her off script.

Most the questions were fine....
It was the blatant- trump, here's something controversial you said and we think it terrible, what do you say?
Kamala- yes, he is awful
Sort of questions
I'll remember the Run, Spot Run line. That was awesome.UntoldSpirit said:
For Harris, the whole thing was a well rehearsed lie. It's sad that it makes people think she won.
I don't think Trump did a good job of showing the contrast between what she has been and what she now claims she is. But he did have some good lines. Its just that everyone expects that.
If you go by expectations, I'd say she won and she was allowed to pretend she is something she isn't. If you go by substance or memorable lines, I'd say Trump won, especially about the border and Ukraine.
The debate ends with Trump and Harris tied.

Completely disagree. Trump was Trump and he lost no votes tonight. Harris was well prepared to "lie" and deflected every question. So what did that undecided voter learn tonight from Harris? She never answered any question. Watch it again. They ask a question and she does not answer it. They asked her twice if she spoke to Putin and she twice told us she spoke to Zelensky. What idiot is not smart enough to see that BS. The debate was setup for her to win. The questions most always put Trump having to defend himself from Harris and the moderators. The discussion provided nothing new. It was a waste of 90 minutes of everyone's life.4stringAg said:
I think people seeing the ABC bias already are politically savvy. The average idiot voter sees Harris as prepared, calmer, always having an answer even if it's lies and she had the questions in advance, getting digs and zingers in on Trump. They see Trump as rambling and angry.
On that basis she "won" . Does it change many minds? Not sure. She'll get a boost in the polls.
Trump blew this really. He was fighting an uphill battle with ABC fact checking him in real time while allowing her to lie with no consequence but most won't care about that.

and insulting anyone who claimed we Republicans should put up a better candidate?
suddenly you see the light?! yea, we have been saying for four years that Trump sucks as a candidate and can't debate and explain conservative policies. but that's okay, not like one debate really matters...
just ask Joe Biden.
it's simple and completely predictablejohnnyblaze36 said:
I just don't understand how Trump who was rambling as he's wont to do couldn't manage to throw in his coalition of people like Elon Musk, RFK Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, etc. versus Harris' coalition of Liz and Dick Cheney and Vladimir Putin and then riff on that.
It's the easiest line ever and provides the starkest contrast of all time. Sigh.

Well, Harris never got put on the spot by them. They softballed her all night long while throwing Nolan Ryan fastballs at Trump's head with all their fact checking.SquirrellyDan said:DonHenley said:
It was a bad night for Trump.
It was bad in the sense that he should have wiped the floor with her. Overall nothing new came out. Harris did do a much better job than I thought she was capable of, regardless of the clear bias by the moderators.
But if this decides the election, it's trumps own fault. He should have easily been able to make her look stupid but he failed miserably.

That's my point. The fact that she couldn't take the lead after tonight is good news for Trump.the_batman26 said:
She shouldn't be tied considering the massive amount of media support and coverage though.

The biggest thing that bothers me is that the Dems are trying to blame the current immigration, money, war, race divide and other crisis's on trump, despite them being in charge for the last 3.5 years and 12 of the last 16. It's crazy that this effort is apparently working to some degree.
