I think the first and most important question for Trump is to ask if he still believes the election was 'stolen' in 2020 and what he will do if he loses in 2024.

My understanding is that campaign staff are precluded from having any contact during the debate, thus they should not be within eyesight but in another room, maybe the spin room? Trump's team will have a boatload of surrogates in that spin room whereas Kamala will not. So if someone i speaking into a hidden mic, they likely will be spotted by the Trump team.
