My understanding is that campaign staff are precluded from having any contact during the debate, thus they should not be within eyesight but in another room, maybe the spin room? If that is how tonight goes, Kamala is toast. Newsom was awful in that debate. And that debate is part of the reason Newsom was not front and center to take over the nomination when Biden dropped out. Without that debate performance (unforced error) could have gone differently for him to replace Harris on the ticket. he would not be able to pivot from the stuff he said just a few months earlier.Daveintx said:
